One Piece (subbed)

One Piece is a pretty fun anime series. It's funny, silly, with some serious parts. Really quite amusing, even if it is really long.

Of course, Fox ruined it when dubbing it, but hey, that doesn't mean the original is hurt any.

1-24 here

Not sure why they come out in such a weird order.

how long does the series go? ive watched a bit on cartoon network... its bearable but some parts are really corny =/

If you plan on watching it do not watch the Cartoon Network dubbed version.

It's complete trash compared to the subbed Japanese version; the characters lose almost all of their personality in the translation and alot of the jokes and humor is butchered.

It's an awesome series, imo; a light-hearted, character-centric story, and it's very long (like 200+ episodes).

You can download the entire series here; the translators have gone up to 181 now, and are very meticulous in doing them so it takes a little while for new ones to come out. Worth the wait though, imo.

If you plan on watching them, I suggest giving the first 10-20 episodes a try before giving up on the series altogether. It starts a little slow, but it gets alot better as it goes.

This series is easily one of my favorites. If you can ignore the fighting stuff that takes 10 episodes or so (to "beginners", it's nice to get them in batches instead of having to wait one week), you'll love it. The humor is simply great (some might find the characters and their "specials" kinda silly, I personally love it).

If you watch this series and do not end up falling for all it's characters, they way they interact with each other and especially Monkey D. Luffy - you need help.

Luffy is the greatest anime character ever made. My god he's hilarious.

PS. Go for the KF subs.

I'm the biggest anime nerd ever and watch EVERYTHING but I just hated One Piece, watched like 2 episodes and never another. Couldn't get into it.

Too much fluff, too little substance.

I still keep the series around on my to-be-watched list (big ass list), but have only managed like 10-15 eps of it so far.

That's what happened to me. I watched the first episode then quit, but then later on I decided to give it another try and now its my favorite series.

Yeah, the first few episodes aren't really that great. Once you get past them though, it continually gets better and better.

Gets a lot better. It's a long ass series and it takes like 90 episodes before Luffy's crew is established and they actually reach Grand Line and the real adventure starts. By then, you're hooked for life.
