| When I first heard about the possibility for this show it was said they would focus on the founding and building of the rebellion, and to that end Leia would be a more central figure in te sow than Luke would. Still, the problem with this timeline is that we know how it all ends... how exciting can it be? Post ROTJ Trilogy or better yet the Thrawn Trilogy (maybe done Clone Wars style) would be the shit. |

| If I'm not mistaken, Shadows of the Empire takes place between 5 and 6, right? Or was it 4 and 5? Either way, there is plenty of time in between the timelines of the Original Trilogy films to fill up an entire series' worth of material. Easily. Much moreso than, say, the gap between Luke at 16 and Luke at 20. I mean, really -- how much can you do with those years, and still keep Luke as the focus? |

| Oh no...they're making a Star Wars teen drama WB style. It's star wars minus the lightsabers, deathstars, and space travel. But, you'll get to see Luke struggle with teen angst and raging hormones as a bitter rivalry unfolds between him and another young hunk fights over the affection of the local sweetheart. |

| SotE took place shortly after the Battle for Hoth. Great book, Dash Render and Prince Xizor are both sweet characters. Great ending for both too, hah.

| It'd be best to just move away from the original trilogy as much as possible. We got the six movies, the television specials, the videogames, etc. Unless they want to move on from Ep. 6, we know the ins and outs of the Skywalker Story. I don't need to know what happened between Episodes 3 and 4. I know how things turn out, so it's not like I'm going to be sitting on the edge of my seat wondering if Luke Skywalker is going to live or not. How about something new? Lucas set up a great universe, which allows for many more tales. Unfortunately, it appears he's far too full of himself to let anyone else's story take on any form aside from a book and the occassional videogame. Quote:

That book was so horrible. Dash Render was made out to be a better pilot then Han, an equal fighter to Luke...he was too powerful. Same with Xizor, the guy just sucked. As for why not doing the parts after RotJ? I think it's just because Lucas didn't create it the best trilogy, Zahn did.

I just wish someone would explain to George that, just because you can do something, doesn't always mean you should. Also, I wish that Fox had the balls, as distributor of the films, to say to George: "Look, you can keep fucking around with these movies all you want, and we're not going to stop you. But we're also going to release versions of the un-fucked-around-with films on DVD. That way, consumers have a choice."

+12 Internets | HURRAY! Didn't they say they were working on a Live Action SW and another SW Cartoon series? Was it going to be more Clone Wars episodes? Maybe they chose the 3-4 period because peopple already know what's going to happen and there's less chance/deviance that they can fuck it up. If they do post RotJ, non-book readers won't know what to expect. |
