Its worth checking out the fma manga if you enjoy the series, same characters(plus some) but a different storyline(maybe even better).
Also, if you havent checked it out, i highly suggest monster. its far more adult than most series.

Leaves alot to be wanted. What happened to Dante and Gluttony? Why did Al lose his memory? Will Hohenheim still slowly die? What was up with that dragon in the gate after Envy went in?

So many questions..

I thought the first three questions were answered fairly straight up in the series:
1. Gluttony eats Dante.
2. Al sacrificed the greatest thing he had to resurrect his brother, the bond that was forged during three years with his brother while searching for the stone.
3. Yes.
4. No clue.

I've seen the subbed version, then I tried to watch the CN version, and it hurt to watch. Don't know how anyone can stand it.

After DragonBall Z, how did anyone expect good dubs out of Funimation. Sadly it gave them the money to launch into other titles and ruin them too. FMA will let them grow even more now.

Hmm well someone mentioned the bad Funimation dubs. I think the dubs for Burst Angel, Kiddy Grade, and FMA are excellent. I can't speak of the old DBZ dubs cause I never heard the original Japanese. Nevertheless, I still don't understand the love/hate with dubs versus subs.

The movie, Conqueror of Shambala, gives a lot more satisfying end to the series than episode 51.
