Jericho: Season Two, Feb 12th, 2008

Figured was worth a new thread, also some crap in this article about some other shows that are on TV!

I remember the last Jericho thread being pretty big, but am I the only one who got bored after the initial episode? Don't think I watched past episode 4, seemed to follow the line of, people scared and annoying huddling up together, someone doing something really fucking dumb, someone doing something really heroic, repeat.

Show really picks up after episode 6 or 7.

I originally gave up on the show around episode 4. The bitchy store lady annoyed me, so did the soap opera crap between the teenagers. But after hearing about how good the show was I went back and gave it another chance. Glad I did, they end up toning down alot of the crap I didn't like, and it turned into a pretty good show.

Thanks for the information Frax, I was wondering when the new episodes were going to air. Was afraid the strike might delay it.

As mentioned, the series really picks up after the first few episodes.

The first episode was intriguing, then it dropped off quickly...then, just when I was about to give up, they did the episode where they gave the black guy's story and it was really good from then on.

I had told my wife, if this episode isn't any good, I'm done with this show: that was the back story one.

Also, I agree about the store lady. I was glad

I think everyone was glad for that.

I actually miss the story lady.

She was an interesting character and a very realistic one too. one of those characters I love to hate.

Bump.

New season starting soon, though looks like some episodes are available already if you know where to look.

I've seen 1, 2 and 3 floating around, heard 4 was also.

Keep in mind if you are a fan of the series to tune in when it airs so it can get decent ratings or we won't be seeing it much longer.

How are ratings measured in the U.S? They actually have a way to tell what Joe Average is watching on TV?

Here a few thousand people have installed a channel monitoring box to form a representative representation of the population as a large, but unless you're part of that group they won't have a clue if you watch it or not.

Nielsen Ratings. I believe a few thousand homes that are monitored what they watch, bet there is a wiki for it.

edit: ya they do surveys and have devices in some homes to monitor TV watching activity, however it is criticized for not being random enough.

Just saw the first episode and I liked it. Was a bit of a reboot but it does well enough to tie up the first season before starting to new storylines.
