I did the same thing. I couldn't wait for the other discs to come in the mail.

The only three TV box sets I own are Family Guy, Hellsing, and Invader Zim. I have watch each one more than 5 times all the way through, with random Family Guy episodes more times than I can count.

Many times over.

Alrighty. I barely watch the movie dvds I own, so it's hard for me to imagine sitting down to watch a dvd of a show I've already seen. (Somehow, reruns on TV are different...maybe it's the randomness?)

Sounds similar to choosing to listen to a cd or tuning in to the radio.

On a good note Serenity made $35 Million worldwide box office. Cost was $40 Million so with DvD sales they easily made profit which is good. They said all along they expected to make more money on DvD sales then box office and if things went well might see another.

While it certainly is disheartening to see Book and Wash leave in the movie, I think that there is still plenty of ability for the show to continue on in movie format. However it will still bug me to never know how Book obtained all of that knowledge about the 'verse and alliance.

I like the thought that someone brought up in the other thread that Book was in a position similar to that of the assasian in the movie, and after discovering some truth, he left the alliance and began wandering the 'verse.

that was damn good for a pilot episode. most pilots I've seen seem painfully low budget

I'd actually love to watch the series again. But every time I get my DVD's back someone else borrows them. 3 brothers, my sister, dad, 3 different friends. I'm not even sure who the fuck has it now.

Also, watched Band of Brothers 2 or 3 times. In addition to seeing most of them when they 1st aired. But yeah, for the most part I *very* rarely re-watch any DVD I get. TV or movie.

That could be. The episode 'Objects in Space' lends credibility to that because Early states that Book is not a shepherd when he walks past him. Perhaps Book was not an assassin, but he seems to have been in a profession that left him around those sorts of people.

On a similar note, Jubal Early was a fantastic character. His last line at the end of the episode gets me everytime.

'Objects In Space' was really really good. Jubal Early has to be one of my favorite "villians" created. The things that guy says . . .

Simon: Are you Alliance?
Early: Am I a lion?
Simon: What?
Early: I don't think of myself as a lion. You might as well, though — I have a mighty roar.
Simon: I said "Alliance".
Early: Oh, I thought—
Simon: No, I was—
Early: That's weird.

Oh, and I fourth of fifth the "downloaded the series and liked it so much I bought the dvd." Also, I own a whole lot of TV Box sets. CSI, West Wing, Alias, 24, Star Trek: TNG, Star Trek: DS9, Lost, Arrested Developement, to name a few, and I watch them all the time.

The Train Job, the "first" episode in the series, is up =) (note: Serenity/Pilot is still the first episode, really)
