Anyone seen this? I'd assume it's on HBO or some other cable station in the US. It's on Showcase up here. Watched part of an episode last night, and it was pretty fucking funny. Not sure on the plot of the show, but it basically centers around a bunch of adults who smoke or deal weed, living in I'd assume California somewhere. If it wasn't on so late I'd make a point of watching it. I'll have to record some episodes, come to think of it.

The mom with cancer was pretty funny.

Kevin Nealon: "Hey, nice haircut!"

Her: "It's not a haircut."

Kevin Nealon: "Oh right, yeah, cancer."

And when she was explaining to her 12 year old daughter that she couldn't be a lesbian just because she was too lazy to lose weight was pretty funny too.

"And asians look like boys anyway. Why go halfway?" After she caught her making out with her asian friend.

Plot of Weeds is that the mother cant make enough cash to support herself, so she turned to dealing drugs. It's a pretty funny show ;p

Last episode of the first season leaned toward a pretty good followup season (dunno if the second season has started yet?)

Great show. For some reason, I like the opening music too. "...and they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same."

Yeah...I didn't want to say that, because I doubted anyone else would find it catchy, but I like it too.

Honestly this show could suck total ass and I'd still watch it just for Mary-Louise Parker who is quite possibly the sexiest woman alive.

Instead of starting a new thread:

This is currently the only show I "follow" now that the WSoP is over and Rome is between seasons.

This show has stayed consistently good through 1.5 seasons.

My biggest gripe is the never-ending pot-shots at Bush.

Not that I'm a Bush fan or anything, but jesus fucking christ, I just want to watch a show about a hot weed-selling soccer mom, not a political tyrade.

Andy bad-mouthing Bush to lead into his enrollment into Jew-School was fine because it fit into the overall story-arc and was brief enough. But now it's like "How can we work in a bit with Andy bashing Bush?" each episode. It's tedious and distracting. I disapprove.

For the record, the Jew-School teacher lady is possibly hotter than Nancy. Yes. Yes I think ... so.

The first few episodes I was like meh, now its a show I look forward to each week. I love when he pets her whig and is like "good girl.... good girl". The show got 1000x better when her brother in law moved in, that dude is hilarious.

Mary Louise Parker owned on the West Wing and she owns on this show. It'd probably suck with someone else playing the mom, but she's perfect for the role.

If that's the episode I saw, it's even better when she tells her daughter to not do lesbianism halfway, because she's making out with a skinny asian that's damn near a boy anyway.

Haha I saw the masturbation lesson one on tv... great stuff. I also second Mary-Louise Parker as one of the sexiest women alive. The term "MILF Weed" they use in the show is such a perfect name.
