I watched seven minutes of the Thief episode tonight.

And then I turned on "Bitches of Orange Cunty" or something. Much more entrhalling.

I've seen some of the reruns of hustle here and there and it didn't impress me. Maybe I can't get into the characters because of the way they look or how the show is shot. I dunno but I'm not impressed.

I try to watch thief when I can but it's not the draw I expected or hoped it would be. It's better than most of what's on tv though imo. I like the idea behind prison break but the big networks (fox abc nbc cbs) are all notorious for dragging out a single event forfuckingever!!!!!! until I just don't even give a fuck if it happens after a while. That's how prison break is to me. Prison break.... should they not have broken out first season???????

Thief hasn't hit the nail on the head with what draws me in like a mosquito to a bug zapper but I like the dynamic between the actual thieves in the movie. I hated to see Roz die so early, and the wife. If you're gonna drag something out then keep some characters alive. Why kill off all the women too? Izzy was a pos and I was glad to see him go. I mean if I was a thief and worried that I would get busted because one of my crew was a druggy then I'd have his ass offed too. I think Roz would have cracked under that kind of torture too. He's not going to let up no matter what you say but most people would at least try to save themselves some pain whether they really believed it would work or not.

Thief doesn't get a very long run since they're already advertising rescue me's premiere around the end of may. I think it's tuesday night again unless I'm mistaken. Maybe it's just another show they're trying out. Bottom line imo though is f/x is doing a hell of a job creating shows unlike all the other networks making csi bfe 23, law and order anal sex with dogs and cats 57, or whatever other reality crap is out there. I'm so sick of american idol I'd like to kill paula and simon myself...

I have changed my mind on this show. It seems like it has gotten a lot better from the first two episodes. My main complaint - that the charachters were too one-dimensional seems like it has changed. After seeing the personal sides of the thieves, it makes the show more interesting. Like the charachter played by Andre Broward. He continues to take care of his stepdaughter even though they don't get along. And this is even after she has called him racial epithets. He continues to try to do the right thing in his situation with his stepdaughter.

The Sopranos this show is not, but it is getting better.
