Was actually looking forward to seeing Lana in know for a while, though I'm not really up on superman cannon, is she meant to know at all?

To be honest I never remember the whole Lana thing at all though I never read very many Superman comics, was all 2000AD, manga & Marvel.

Anyway I thought his first meeting with the Lane family was meeting Lois as an adult at the Daily Planet and Lana didn't come into it until well after that.

Maybe it's just the wording, but it sounds like you think Lana is related to Lois Lane? Her name is Lana Lang, not Lana Lane.

I don't know anything about the Superman comics, but I was really disappointed with this week's episode.

One of two things should have happened:
1) Lana finds out the secret and dies
2) Lana finds out the secret and lives, but Clark's dad dies

The episode was great up until Clark went back in time to change things. Now it's back to the same old boring shit. Lana should just find out already to make the show a little more interesting.

I was enjoying it until the "go back in time" stuff. Seeing Clark come to terms with the death of Lana, and holding back the urges to beat Lex's face in would have been so much more interesting than the inevitable weeks of "will they? won't they?" which will be coming in future episodes.

I think they stalled it with Lana finding out, to make for a couple more interesting episodes. Something along the lines of that she will either work it out through Lex's deep suspicions (he already expressed them when drunk in day1 in this episode, but not in the repeat of it) or.. like everyone else, witness it I guess.

One of the main tenets of the show is "No Flights, No Tights." Meaning, he's never going to fly and he's never going to wear his Superman costume.

The fact that he flew in season 4 is explained by the fact that he was Kal-El at the time and not Clark. Which basically means if the ratings drop low enough they're willing to throw their rule out the window.

It was a good episode but it sucked shit. Fuck Lana she was the one that needed to get offed not Clarks dad. Lana is such a whiney emo cockteasing needy ass bitch and Clark’s dad is the fuckin man. I mean we all knew Clarks dad was gunna die of a heart attack because that’s the way it happens in the comics and in the movies, his dad dies just when he finishes high school and his mom lives. But I don’t give a fuck cus they have already changed how so much shit happens in the show that it don’t really matter what they do anymore.

My only hopes for the show now is that Lana and Clark become totally and irrevocably broken up, Lois dies and Chloe takes her name and uses it to become a reporter. Everyone knows Chloe > Lana > Lois, Chloe is the one that should be the future Lois, not that retarded bitchy bimbo with the shitload of plastic surgery and fake tittys.

Pa Kent is alive and well in the comics after the Crisis on Infinite Earths saga (1985).As for Lara knowing Clarks secret, I dont think she ever knew pre Crisis. Post Crisis, I think she's known since they were teenagers. What happened to Pete? I haven't watched Smallville for almost 2 years.
