Dead Like Me

What season is this show currently on? Is it canceled? Someone bought me season one for Christmas and I have to say I love the show. I never get a chance to watch TV so I am clueless.

I really love some of the characters in this show, Rube being my favorite. He’s so wise.

Season 2 has been out on DVD for quite a while. I rented it from Netflix several months ago.

So I finally watched the first 2 seasons of this show and damn what a great show. I was so sad that when I finished season 2 it was over. Too bad this show got canned

I watched most of the first season and lost interest. I mean, it's mostly a drama but with a supernatural theme. But the logic behind the physicality of these "dead" characters don't make much sense. Like, how can you be dead (or a reaper) and still be affected by narcotics?

It's like the writers of the show thought it would be a cool idea to have "dead" characters but seem to ignore the fact that it should have significance to their abilities and immunities.

You mean like the fact that they had heightened resistances to getting drunk and high, could regenerate, and could do things far outside the realm of what humans could do since they couldn't be killed?

Just saw that a straight to dvd movie of this series is due out some time this year. Saw the first few episode but kinda lost track of it, is it worth catching up on before the movie?

Yes, absolutely. DLM is still one of the best shows I've ever seen. I wouldn't get my hopes up for the movie though; Bryan Fuller doesn't seem to have any involvement with it at all and without Mandy Patinkin...meh.
