I've been getting the season 1 DVDs from Netflix. I'm a little over halfway through the season and I can honestly say I'm loving this show like no other in a long, long time.

I've always been a sucker for urban legends and ghost stories so I'm probably a little biased in that regards. But the quality of the show is just way higher than I expected. The acting, writing, and special effects are all far too good for a show on the CW.

The latest episode was pretty good. Dean has some great 1 liners through out it. Henderson is also shaping up to be a decent character chasing them.

I am forced to say though, WTF is with the air ducts. TV writers really need to get over the person sized ultra reinforced air duct bullshit cliche and use some imagination.

Not a bad start to the season, but I kinda hate the vagueness of the threat they are fighting. If it is truly hopeless, then you just know its going to be some lame deus ex machina ending to win the day.

That said, the show usually follows a good line between the ongoing story and the week to week stories, so it should still be entertaining.

Not sure about the new chick, I kinda liked the last one that was guest staring, wonder what happened to her.

I guess my biggest fear is that they basically took last year's "emo plotline" (Sam might have to be killed, so let have Dean spend multiple episodes being all emotional and sad around him) and just switched it around (Now Dean is the one whose gonna "die" and Sam will spend all season laying on the angst.)

I just wished we could have a CW show without being melodramatic. I want more awesome/hilarious episodes please.

The good thing, which we've already seen a little bit of, is that Dean is far far more likely to take advantage of the situation for personal gratification.

It's been picked up for a fourth season. Yeah, last night was the final, the writers strike cut the season short.

After all this time leading up to his contract coming up, I'm glad to see they actually went through with it. Now I just hope, as said previously, they don't cheese out of it really easily.

On a side note, I hope we see more of relic-thief girl (forget name), as she was a great character.
