| Curb Your Enthusiasm If you liked Seinfeld, you'll probably enjoy this show. It was on HBO, and is the fictitious life of Seinfeld producer Larry David. It is basically a non-sitcom, semi-improv, uncensored Seinfeld. |

| Can't. Fucking. Stand it. A lot of people love the show, and sing its praises. I liked Seinfeld, thought Jerry and crew were great. When I accdiently flip to Enthusiam, I need to leave the room before I succumb to the compulsion to gouge out my eyes. |

+32 Internets | I'm with Hyarth on this one. Seinfeld was great, but this show blows the proverbial cock. Quote:

+1 Internets | CYE is the best comedy show I have ever seen on television. However, I've never seen the BBC Office and never got into Arrested Development, and I have heard they are good. I have watched almost no Seinfeld, but what little I have seen is not as enjoyable as CYE. The show is intelligent, really intelligent. It is also really fucking funny. I think Larry David is hilarious and fascinating. He's a misanthrope, he's a dick, he's a curmudgeon. He is really funny. He over-analyzes everything, and nothing goes right for him. Ever. And his manager Jeff is great too, ESPECIALLY his wife, and the way every episode she says things like, "FUCK YOU, JEFF, YOU FAT FUCK, AND FUCK YOU TOO, LARRY, YOU FUCKING FOUR-EYED PIECE OF SHIT". I don't understand the haters. If they think the show is "utterly queer" I can only imagine that there are probably some projection issues going on. |

| I enjoy it (though the last two seasons have been kind of blah.) It's not a Seinfeld, but it has its own niche and lots of little stories and absurd situations that he just can't win. Always blows up in his face. Restaraunt story arc from season 3... Win |

The show is about shit, jack and shit to be specific, and fails to be interesting at all in any single scene, let alone in the greater scheme of things. It's a snorefest so bad that it hurts to even think about watching it. The show wouldn't have even been made had not "PRODUCE OF TEH SENFIELDZ" been plastered all over every review, preview, and commercial.

+1 Internets | Except Larry David was famous for being a writer and co-creator of Seinfield, not just a producer. James: do you have to try to be a complete fucking idiot, or does it come to you naturally? Also, I'm still trying to figure out why you think the show is "utterly queer." FTW: Wagner episode, "Is that a picture of President Bush?", "he's a survivor", Larry thinking he's a gentile. |

+26 Internets | It has it's moments. I know alot of people who 'just don't get it' though. They also tend to be people who don't get why Monty Python is so absolutely hilarious as well. Dry humor is not everybodies cup of tea. |

| This show is a double-edged sword for me. I love Larry David and everything about the show itself, but it made me realize that Jason Alexander's portrayal of George Costanza was basically just a Larry David impersonation. George Costanza (in my eyes at least) is/was the greatest sitcom character ever on any series, and for some inexplicable reason my view of Seinfeld now is permanently marred by this revelation. |

Vhex, please don't be dumb. Broad generalizations are dumb. Don't do it. I think Monty Python is great. I also appreciate dry/deadpan humor. Now, for everybody else with the coarse and extra gritty sand up the vag. I didn't say a word against fans of the show. The original post said that fans of Seinfeld will probably enjoy it. I interjected that I was a fan of Seinfeld and didn't like it. At all. Then out come the lowbrow insults. These insults were both unwarranted and woefully uninspired. This is not jr highschool, what others think of the shows you watch should have ceased to matter long ago. If your self-worth is so attached to the popular-(or unpopular)-opinion of entertainmet you enjoy, perhaps you'd feel more at home at a blogging community dedicated to such ideals. If you happen to believe that the opinions of others don't matter to you, please act like it. | |
