+18 Internets | House has always been like that. Probably the best example being Foreman, but that subtext has always been there. He does the things he does to make the people around him better. This episode was just a little more heavy handed than the other ones. |

| This episode might be a case where people expectations got the better of them. If this had been a normal running season this episode would have came just after the last one and none of you would have expected anything special, but the month wait threw everyone off.

+4 Internets | I enjoyed the episode, and thought the CB/Wilson/House stuff was hilarious. As was the stuff with Cuddy. However, I have to comment that I was a little bummed by the end of the episode. All throughout they kept saying that the guy couldn't have been so happy unless his brain was being affected somehow, and then they hinted at it at the end, when he realized he didn't like ketchup anymore. While I know they didn't get into any specifics, that still left the door wide open for him not being so happy anymore, which not only was a bummer to the wife, who had given that whole speech about first despising someone like that, then realizing maybe they can be an inspiration, but was also a bummer for me simply because it meant that House is fucking right again about people being shitty at heart. I mean, can't we have just one episode where *maybe* House isn't right about everything, particularly human nature? Even if everyone IS shitty, why do they have to hammer it home every time? I would have much preferred the guy saying something like, "Ah, I guess I don't like ketchup anymore, oh well, I'm sure I'll be just fine without it." Or something not quite as open to a negative connotation. |

| There are episodes in the past that give examples of House being less a jerk than he comes off. The Idiot Savant episode or the Autism episode. They put these in there for a couple reasons 1. because it's a hook for the audience. They would stop watching if he was just mercilessly negative every episode, but give them a small hope of redemption and they keep coming back. Then 2. Because when you get a feel-good episode, it makes it hit that much harder when one like this comes along. There'll be another "redemption" episode soon. Btw, this latest episode they've already done before. Remember when he faked his cancer tests for a neural stimulant when his leg was fucking with him more than usual? Pretty much the same episode. |

| Was a pretty bad episode. And they beat the point of the show to death again, something they just started this season and gets really annoying. The worst was the "everybody lies" episode. I think they used to the word "lie" 70 times. The opening sequence was pretty cringe inducing-- I know the writers were pissed off about the strike, I was too, but people don't actually act like that. The reveal about you-knjow-who's you-know-what was not only lame, I think everyone in the audience knew what would happen right away. I expected it to be twisted into something interesting like Wilson has syphilis, and that's why House was trying to keep him from having sex with CB or something, but it actually turned out to be a lot more mundane than that. I think that in earlier seasons, if House had done something like that, there would have been a more interesting motivation behind it. I think they're just running out of places to take the characters. We already had House trying to quit vicodin, House goes to jail, House fires his team (or members of the team quit), House has a power struggle with Cuddy, House's leg is better, etc... I think they're just running out of ideas. |

+9 Internets | I dunno, I enjoyed the episode...Wilson is one of my favorite characters so I found it amusing House and CTB were fighting over him and watching him get House like pleasure over them making each other miserable. |

| Tonight's ep (2x14) was a return to form. No annoying gimmick of the week or beating you over the head with the theme of the episode over and over. I thought the soap actor's acting was cheesy at first until I realized... he's a soap actor. And they did some stuff towards the end that seemed like a nod to soaps-- and maybe it was supposed to be an in joke-- but after the weak drama of the last few episodes, it just made for a good second half. Some hinting that he'd fire anyone on his team to open a spot for Cameron if she'd come back. I think he probably would. |

| That's not a gimmick, that's House. By no gimmick I mean it wasn't bogged down with all the crap it has been in recent episodes: repeating the theme of the episode over and over (even though they did do it a couple times here, it was nowhere near as bad), or playing the cast game like they did for the first half of the season (even though he did go into wanting Cameron back). |
