My Name Is Earl

One of the best new shows of the season.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460091/

Torrents of the pilots and the 2nd episode are up on torrentspy. Watch it if you haven't.

Almost forgot, dibs on catalina!

I enjoyed it. Good to see Jason Lee get his own show.

I'm a huge Jason Lee fan, but doesn't anyone else think he plays a much better quasi-intellectual (ala Mallrats) than seriously white trash? I love the white trash stereotype and I love Jason Lee, but I just don't think they should go together. With that said, it is a decent show and I do plan on continuing to watch it =P

Saw it very very briefly, maybe for two minutes. I laughed out loud several times in those few minutes. Once the show gets some legs and establishes characters, it should be really really good.

"Earl" is great, and doing well in the ratings too. With any luck, this show will help bring back the lost era of the funny sitcom.

i think that the best part of earl (and of the office too) is that they are trying new things especially with the delivery of dialogue and will continue to do well if they stick to their guns

For the Office? I like the British version better. since Ive seen like 2 years worth of episodes of the British version first, the american version pales in comparison.

Earl and The Office are the first "sitcoms" I've watched in at least 5 years. They both rock.

CAUGHT EARL for the first time last nite and loved it, the wife walked in a few minutes later, i went to get a cold cut platter/cheese and crackers for a snack for the movie we were about to watch- i came back and she went, how have we missed this one, its hilarious...

so we finished watching that, then batman begins...

I really like this show. The first episode was aired only last week on british screens, but I've been torrenting the episodes for quite a while now. I recommended it to a lot of people, and they agreed that it is definately one of the better sitcoms around.

RE : The office. The whole US version bugs me. Maybe its my british pride or something, but I can't bring myself to watch it. Coupling was re-created with American actors, and now the office.. I hope this doesn't become too much of a trend with British comedies.

I vote Tom Green to play Mr. Bean in a Canadian-ized version. God that'd be awful.
