I never even considered that anyone watched these shows for that reason. It seems like you're missing the point of the shows, but I duno, maybe the producers had your point of view in mind too?

They make jokes about all kinds of shit Haven't seen that movie for like 6 months. Didn't they compare him to Stewie's freshly shaven nutsack? Then it cuts to a scene of a giant nutsack in a cop uniform? If so, ya that was pretty funny.

This is the penultimate show for anyone with a sliver of potential. It rides the fine line between guilty conscience and vindication.

If you aren't into this show, you're a completely vapid son of a bitch who I'd never buy a drink for. Unless TV's not your thing. Then I understand.

/cheers

Belive it or not this show actually aired in my country on a premium cable channel. But or course it stopped just when it was getting interesting.
The last episode i saw was when the strike team rob those Armenian Mafia guys in a real money-train style. And the last scene was with them gather around a huge box full of money. Now if someone could tell me at least from what season that was , if not exactly from what episode, i would apreciate it.

I think it's the last episode of Season 2. That would be s02e13. Summary:
http://www.tv.com/the-shield/dominoe...8/summary.html

Quote:
Dr. Grady: What's in the bag?
(From a brown paper bag, Mackey pulls a bottle of booze, a phone book, keys, a lighter and box cutter. He then lays them on the table in front of Grady.)
Dr. Grady: What's that stuff for?
Mackey: It's what I'm gonna use to get you to tell me where Jenny Reeborg is.
Dr. Grady: Your turn to play bad cop?
Mackey: Nah, good cop and bad cop left for the day, I'm a different kinda cop.
Dr. Grady:(To the surveillance camera) I'm ready to see my lawyer now.
The only thing I regret is that the Strike Team has so much shit going on and so many people trying to bust them that they can't really work properly, hence a big part of the fun factor is missing. I blame the Money Train story.

You really need to watch the first show of the series...that scene in it sets the tone for the whole series.

Yeah, one of the better shows on TV. Excellent direction and writing. I haven't watched the new season yet though.

The Shield is a godsend.

one of my buddies got seasons 1-4 the other day. We're almost done with season 3 and its only been about a week. Incredible show, great acting, believable scenerios, etc. Chiklis fuckin rocks, amazing screen presence. Yes he breaks a lot of rules, and yes the show starts off with him killing another cop. But as the show goes on you realize how much he balances between family, work, morals, crime, kids with problems, etc, etc and he comes off as a great character. Extremely conflicted, like all great characters are. Incredible show, and when I get home in 2 weeks I'm buying all the dvds I can find.

I'm really liking the show so far but I have to say that fox is pretty fucking retarded for releasing the DVDs (Season 1 anyway) in non-letterboxed format. I got impatient waiting on netflix for new episodes and started downloading xvids, which are high def broadcast encodes. I'll take a little pixelation over pan-and-scan gayness anyday (oh, and I almost forgot, the DVDs aren't interlaced properly either).

Question -- are the DVDs for seasons 2-4 full or wide screen?
