| Cain left her orders open to interpetation. I mean, I can remove a guy from his command easily, just ask him to leave for a while or something. Starbuck though was told to blow off Cain's head. I can't wait for that scene. |

+49 Internets | While Cain's orders may be "open", given her past history of shooting children and executing officers, I somehow think her intent is more then clear. I have a feeling her XO will double-cross her, though. Everytime he's with Tigh its almost like he's trying to confess his sins. When the time comes, I bet he will either warn Adama or just flat out not go through with it.

- Adama who once headed the fleet is now second to Cain - The cylons seem more human (with the Sharon the pleasure model and the blond model both imprisoned and crying) and more vulnerable. They are even at risk of losing their resurrection ship (which in the commercial, the blond cylon claims tens of thousands of cylons will die for good). In contrast, under Cain, the humans are more robotic than ever. She made the decision to strip her civilian ships of their resources and killing them. That is sometihng the borg would do. - Apollo used to be Starbuck's superior, now Starbuck is Apollo's superior. - Instead of being hunted by the cylons, the humans are hunting the cylons. - Instead of heading to Earth, Cain is now leading the fleet back to Caprica. We'll see where this one goes now that it has gone longer than the original series.

I think a lot of that is intentional misdirection by the writers, especially the robotic actions of some of the humans. There is no way Adama is going to let all those people go back to Caprica now to be slaughtered, that discussion will be moot after tonight. Cain was referring to Caprica because Starbuck has her boy toy there leading the resistance, she was using the idea as a carrot to get Starbuck to do what she wanted.

| I watched an interview clip with Judge and his real voice isn't so hoarse. That, sir, is ACTING at work! T'leac with hair is just funny. Like when he had the blonde-bleached soul patch or whatever. |

| Just to toss my thoughts out. SG-1: Browder=No. He seems way way way too similar to his character in FarScape(admittedly I only saw a few episodes). He just doesn't "feel" right in SG-1. As far as the Ori/the Ancients, I want to see some more Ancient involvement, as they're my favourite part of the SG universe.. Too bad the Orlan thing was so shortlived ![]() SG-A: Colm Meaney has a recurring role as an arguably bad guy in the second half of the season. He's the leader of the Genii. I'm a big fan of Ronin, and agree with the assessment that he's what Teal'c should've been. McKay is easily my favourite character though, gotta love his sarcastic tone and he's got some.. interesting.. scenes in a few of the episodes. Things suck at the break point that US Scifi took, but I've watched episodes ahead(gg Canuckians) and things get better. BSG: I already psoted in the BSG thread but I'll just add another part to my position on BSG: I would like to show the Admiral my admiral if you get my meaning. That will be all. |

+25 Internets | I think SG-1 has tried too much with the ever increasing bad guys. I never really liked the replicators, Anubis was a little better but not much, and the Orii as going along the same path. They build up these new baddies as super powerful and then paint themselves into a corner until they have to resort to some piss weak excuse to get them out of it. What they really need is a fight with someone their own level, who the Asguard won't help fight against due to them being at the same level of development. The Goa'uld were like this since most of the time it was the Jaffa who were doing the fighting, which were on a fairly even level with the SG teams, and the Goa'uld were only powerful due to stolen technology so they could be defeated also. The Genii serve this role very well in Atlantis, and I think its time SG-1 goes back to this also. |
