| Your Favorite Game Show For me, nothing beats Family Feud. The new one isn't as good, too many commercials make the host have to rush the game, but the two older versions rule. I'm not sure why. I think I just like the polls and seeing what people say to the questions. Obviously I think the most successful are probably Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. Other favorites I like to watch are the newer one called Lingo, again, not sure why. Word games usually don't fluff my feathers but this one does. Who Wants to be a Millionaire would be a lot better if it moved a bit faster and concluded on each show. Game shows are like the McDonald's of tv programming, complete trash, but I love them anyway. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. *edit The new show called 100 Winners or Playmania or whatever the hell they call it, on GSN, is a fucking abomination that needs to be canceled asap.

| Exactly what I thought when I read the thread title. Distraction on Comedy Central was pretty funny, too. My wife loves doing that National Bingo Night thing ABC has going. You print up Bingo cards online, and play along with the show. Last edited by Believe : 06-06-2007 at 10:12 PM. |

I like Millionaire, but I always thought The Weakest Link was much better, because it was so fast paced. I can't stand how so many of these new game shows are designed to drag things out as long as they can. Glorified Process of Elimination is among the worst. "The dealer has a deal for you. I bet you want me to tell you. You want to know, don't you? I'm going to tell you. All right, here we go! I'm going to say it... right after this commercial!" Maybe some people like the artificial drama, but it makes me want to bash Howie Mandel's face in with all 26 cases. One show I've been enjoying lately has been Cash Cab on Discovery Channel. They put it on after Mythbusters on Wednesdays, and I've really gotten into it. | |

| Idk if this is a game show, but it is a show and they play a game so I think it is: SURVIVOR. Hands down best game show ever. ![]() Jeff Probst > Bob Barker > ![]()

+19 Internets | Survivor is my reality tv guilty pleasure fo sho. I don't know what the best gameshow is, but I do know which one I think sucks. Wheel of Fortune. How is this piece of shit still on the air and still so popular? I won't deny the comedy factor on how retarded some of the contestants are. |

| Press Your Luck was awesome. I remember seeing that guy who figured out the pattern and won megabucks before getting caught later. They did a newer version that was digital, but I don't think it caught on. Lingo is awesome simply because that girl on it is hot. They took away the GSN here, so I haven't seen it in a year or so. ![]()

Also, speaking of Wheel it made me think of Jeopardy since it is on after it. I think Jeopardy is better than Price is Right too. You spoke of cameos of Bob Barker, well he was on Happy Gilmore and Craig Kilborn, but Jeopardy owns that. Jeopardy was tons and tons of shows. For example it was in a classic Cheers episode with Cliff Clavin. It was in White Man Can't Jump. Countless Saturday Night live spoofs and Tonight Show skits. Groundhog's day, Seinfeld, and so on. It even made that nerd guy Ken Jennings, a winner on the show, into a star. Only Jeopardy and Survivor can make its contestants into stars and be in the news. Jeopardy is my #2 after Survivor.

| That imaginary Japanese gameshow that the Simpsons were on many years ago: interestingly enough, this isn't that much of a parody of Japanese gameshows. Those guys have some great ideas.
