On a side note...I am half way thru season 2 just got done watching the episode where charlie starts the fire and a line had me chuckling for a good 5 minutes that i didn't remember.

I will try to explain some of this stuff:

1. Jacks dad was an addict and that shit runs in the family so it is only logical that he would become an addict at somepoint. Plus Jack is responsible for so many people getting killed, even for a surgeon that is pretty intense stuff and he went from being a leader to just some nobody back in civilization. On top of this there are questions which we do not know like, why does Jack want to get back to the island, how did they get off the island, what happened on the island that turned Jack into a suicidle addict? The flash foward was fantastic writing too because until that point it was all flashbacks. The fact is that for the entire time Jack is on the island he wants more than anything to get off the island and now all of the sudden he is in the future and wants to get back so badly is fucking awesome.

2. We saw before that all Kate needed to do was say that she died in the crash and assume the identity of someone who actually died in the crash. She was actually all set up in Season 1 to do this, she took a dead ladys passport and ID from the crash. Plus the one guy that was desperately looking for Kate died on the plane crash. I am pretty sure Kate assumed someone elses name.

Do I even need to explain this one? This scene was all sorts of awesome. If you didn't like it you have some serious issues. Plus if you are ok with polar bears and smoke monsters but are not okay with a car starting up I don't know what to tell you.

Well it is unknown if the island has healing powers but how sure are you that Mikhail actually suffered sonic head trauma. He could have faked how bad his injury was when he went through the force field. I am guessing the field was not set all the way to lethal because he would not have been able to pass through it, as the smoke monster just bounced off it like it was an invisible dome. And a harpoon to the gut would not kill you right away, maybe the guy was slowly dieing and he decided to kill himself with a grenade and take Charlie to hell with him. How many times in the history of movies/television has someone been shot or stabbed to the point where they had to be dead then they come back for one last attempt to kill everyone? lol that happens in EVERY horror movie and in 90% of action movies, why is it any different here? But yea anyways, I loved that scene. I think you are just sad that Charlie died because you had a gay crush on him, come on you can admit it...you know you did, you wanted him to sing "You all everybody" to you while he fed you grapes.

5. In 3 seasons Locke has always wanted 1 thing: to never leave the island. In season 1 he beat up Siad when he was about to triangulate the signal. Lock was worried that they were all going to get rescued and he wanted to stop it by killing that chick. Plus Lock has always believed in the island and in the last season he finally believed all of the stuff that Ben was telling him. While Jack does not believe any of the stuff Ben is saying, Lock believes it and he feels like by killing that woman he is saving everyone. Killing 1 person to save 100 and the island isn't all that bad. And yea that scene was great.

6. There are people (Including myself) to this day that are still trying to figure out who was in that coffin. Some people think it was Locke, Henry, Walt, or Michael. The fact is we will not know till the last season when everything finally comes together. Questions will slowly be answered until we see the big picture. There are 3 seasons left so there is still a lot of stuff to be played out. These questions are like puzzles and they are fun to try and figure out. You think more deeply into the show, you can't really do that with 99.9% of the shows on TV. Most shows on tv are thoughtless and unintelligent because people are too stupid to think for themselves.




If you think LOST is only: "running through the jungle, moles, and scenes of kate crying" then I really think you should not waste your time watching the show. Seriously it doesn't seem like the type of show for you, you should stick to something that is simple maybe try 24, I heard next season he saves Los Angeles from a terrorist attack, don't miss it!

LOL, another "OMG dont question my show you are too stupid to understand and shouldnt be allowed to watch it!!" response. Look dude, i didnt say i didnt like the show, in fact i love the show, i wouldnt have sat through 72 episodes in 5 days just to refrsh my memory for the new season if i didnt. I think i can call bullshit on plot stupidity if i want to, your explanations on last seasons endings are quite weak.

let me break it down.

1 Jack had access to large amounts of heroin for 2 seasons and he didnt touch it once, he was already a leader before he crashed on the island so he was still an important man back home. Its not clever they flashforward instead of flashing back since they deceive you by having jack talk about his dad writing scrips and being a drunk when everyone knew he has been dead . its just poor writing.

2 Kate could possibly switch ID with a dead crash victim, though that person's relatives might have a tough time recognizing her. The cops might sort of notice she is the spitting image of the dangerous fugitive that crashed as well and wow her ID has a burned photo. nah they wouldnt ever put the two together

3 yes i have serious issues becuase i didnt think it was awesome that they gave the fat guy who never loses any weight after 3 months on an island a car to tool around with and save the day becuase otherwise he would be useless. tell me something, how well would your car run if it sat sideways for 20 years and was flooded, filled with rust dirt and plant growth? I think even Mr Goodwrench would have a tough time with that one. not even going to get into what happens to rubber after sitting in 100% humidity for long periods of time.

4 The harpoon was in the chest, not in the gut, and yes he claimed earlier the sonic fence was not set on lethal but a harpoon in your lungs or heart would probably impair some people from swimming underwater. not to mention the grenade. isnt Mikhail in the new season too? Oh and please dont talk to me about gay crushes, im not the one wet in the anus over a guy named Sylar.

5 None of that explains why Locke would just kill this woman he never met before, never knew anything about. at best Jacob whispered to kill her or walt showed some kind of vision of everyone getting killed due to her. either way he didnt have to kill her and compromised his character when he did.

6 Im not wondering who is in the coffin, im not gonna play the whats in the box bullshit again. Its either walt, michael, an other or yet another mole. IMO thats not a suitable cliffhanger.

I am looking forward to the new season of Lost but only cuz Locke is a really interesting character despite what they did to him in the finale and i like the Other chick, Juliet.

You are entitled to your opinions on the show. I am sorry you didn't like the last 3 episodes but I think you are in the minority there. Personally, I thought it was fantastic and I can't wait to see what is in store next season. I loved the cliffhangers, also I think you are missing the biggest cliffhanger which was: Are the people that are coming to the island friend or foe? You know they eventually get rescued so are these people the ones who rescue them or is Ben right and they are all in deep trouble? Anyways, everyone has different opinions that is why some people enjoy watching Ugly Betty while others love LOST. It is all a matter of taste and enjoyment. I for one love LOST and hope the last 3 seasons continue to be more of the awesomeness that were the first 3 seasons and I do not want it to turn into another Xfiles which I loved for seasons and then it turned into total crap.

Uhh, that was the whole point. What has happened in the interim that turned Jack into a wasted shell of a man? The most likely answer is that Jack has figured out (after the fact) whatever Hanso had cooking back on the island - and it is bad, most likely Mittlewerk reviving Dharma's scorched earth Valenzetti-avoidance plans. Hence Jack's desperation to get back there and stop it before Hanso kills off some huge percentage of the population. Plus you get more of Lost's favored mirror symbolism of Jack turning into his father (except Jack will rise to the occasion). It's a two-fer.

Uhh, no, the whole point of this show has been questioning assumptions (like the Others = Dharma). So where is it written in stone that Jack's father is dead?

This is the weakest thing to complain about. Either Kate could go identity swapping again or Dharma (as part of Jack's likely blackmail to get them off the Island) made the charges go away.

The season finale does not make this clear either. Jack mentions the "Golden Tickets that we got". It is unclear if this "we" meant Jack & Kate (she didn't pay for her ticket the first time, the Justice Department did) or Jack & other Losties.

Even Mikhail couldn't survive that injury (the producers have definitively said he's dead). He's just mean enough to ensure he takes someone with him.

I can't argue with you here. Even assuming astral projecting Walt (or whatever) told Locke the whole truth about Dharma/Hanso, it is too much of a turnaround for Locke to suddenly turn killer like that. (No wonder they gave O'Quinn the Emmy - he has to play a different character every week).

Uhh, the cliffhanger was "wait, they got off the Island and now Jack wants back", with a side helping of "what the hell happened to Jack in the interim". The coffin was just a minor puzzle piece and by no means central.

I am looking forward to the new season of Lost but only cuz Locke is a really interesting character despite what they did to him in the finale and i like the Other chick, Juliet.

Personally, I want to see how they handle the Ben/Others reveal (wait, you mean the others are arguably the good guys? Well, at least as good as a borrowed-brainwashing, murdering, scheming assholes can be.) and what is going on within Hanso (once Paik finds out his daughter is alive, will he break ranks with Mittlewerk to get her back? Will Penny mix it up with her father to save Desmond?).
Not to mention who will be funding Jack's "Return to the Island" mission. Paik? Penny? Or does Hurley somehow get control off his own finances back?

I didnt miss the big cliffhanger, i mentioned in an earlier post that this show seems mostly about rival corporations fighting over the curative properties of a small island in the pacific. My predictions will be season 4 is the Losties and The Others unite against the Others 'Others'. it will be interesting im sure, just didnt like the amount of uncharacteristic wtf in the finale. i really dont like the Hurley character, i dunno why they are stuck with him after 3 seasons, but hes gotten ridiculous. and they fucked whatever they were going for when ABC kneejerked Watros and her interesting background out of the show with Rodriguez over that DWI. i wonder will they do that with Jin for the same thing.?i bet not.

Really? Hurley is definitely one of my favorite characters. My favorite scene in season one is when Hurley is on the beach listening to his walkman and all of a sudden the batteries die. Of all the people on the island, Hurley is near the top in terms of people that have gotten fucked over. Yeah, he should have dropped at least 30+ pounds just from the increase in exercise. I thought they made Hurley the typical fat american. he wins 100 million yet walks around in haband big n tall shirts and eats hamburgers on a silver tray. If it was me i would have gotten an awesome ass personal trainer and had all my suits made to order from england. if they hadnt killed off Libby and given Hurley a chance to get to know her and why she was in the loony bin with him maybe it would have helped me like his character more. IMO they need to bring her back for a flashback or two.
