| Great video Thorpe, thanks for posting that. I am really missing LOST right now I can't wait for next season. I might actually watch seasons 1-3 all over again to pass the time. Plus you pick up a lot of new things/little clues, from watching it all over again years later. Also, my friend and I were talking about Lost the other day and we were talking about killing people. Now he brought up the point that most people never kill another human being in fact it is pretty rare unless you are a murderer or a cop, or it's an accident. Think about it how many people do you personally know/or interact with that intionally killed another human being? I can't think of one. Now on LOST in season 3 almost every character has killed another living person. Isn't that pertty crazy? So my friend and I started thinking over the main characters and started to wonder who out of all the main characters in Lost have not killed someone yet?: Jack- hasn't killed anyone that we know of (He saves lives) but he has threatened to kill people like Tom Friendly and Ben Rose: hasn't killed anyone that we know of Walt: hasn't killed anyone that we know of (Killed a bird with his powers and maybe also partly responsible for Shannons Death) Jin- not sure if he has killed anyone yet he might have, he tried to kill others but missed the dynamite, and also beat up people for Sun's father Charlie- Shot and killed ethan Hurley - Killed a guy with the van Sawyer- killed a ton of people (Locke's Dad, some guy in Australia, and so on) Sun- killed an "other" lady on Desmonds boat (Picket's wife) Locke - Killed Naiomi, threw a knife into her back Desmond- killed Joe Inman the first button pusher in the hatch Kate - killed her stepdad Sayid - killed a guy with his feet, also tortured and killed people in war Michael- killed Libby and Anna Lucia Juliet Burke- shot and killed Picket to help Kate/Sawyer Escape Bernard- Killed a bunch of others by shooting the dynamite Ben Linus- killed his dad and lots of Darma Richard- Killed darma people with that gas Anna Lucia- killed a ton of people Mr Eko- killed a ton of people That is a lot of people together that have actually murdered. What got us to start talking about this in the first place was that Jack was so messed up in the Flash Forward but he was one of the few people that didn't have blood on his hands from murder, yet he is so messed up now. We found that very interesting because usually it is the people who have killed other people that have to live with it and it can tear them apart and make them go crazy like in like Edgar Allen Poe's story The Tell Tale Heart.

+2 Internets | Since we have no new episodes for quite a few months, I am rewatching season 3 for clues as to who/what is Jacob, who is Richard, and who is the Manchester parachutist. I need help with an interpretation. When Mikhail pulls the branch out of Naomi's lung, she says something. Desmond asks what she said and Mikhail pauses before he says, "She said, 'Thank you for saving me.'" My question is, what did she really say? It was way too short for the interpretation Mikhail gave and didn't sound like "Thank you" in any language I recall (it sounded like she said "Anastozzo". Any linguists that can tell us what she really said? (Edit so it doesn't bump) New guesses on rewatching Season 3: Jacob: -profile looks like it might be Locke (with hippy hair) or possibly Horace -The circle around his house is probably volcanic ash. The line from Ben's sweetheart in class about the volcano on the island seemed out of place and more for a future episode Richard -strong ties to the apparitions: he gave young Ben the same message to wait as his mother's apparition did. He was also the one to find Ben when Ben was looking for her. -Ben: "You do remember what a birthday is, don't you Richard?" --Ben talks down to Richard about his unnaturally long life, even in private. That seems to lean towards Richard not being the one in control of the island. -Is intrigued and alarmed that young Ben spoke to his dead mother. Richard believes Ben is something of a chosen one, even though Ben isn't delivering on whatever the prophecy is. -Ben's tumor where cancer didn't exist on the island hints that Ben is falling out of favor with the island, and with Richard: Richard helps Locke with his act of free-will. Richard doesn't stop Locke from beating up Mikhail when Ben asks. It looks like Richard is hoping Locke is the chosen one now -Juliette says the line about her ex getting hit by a bus to Richard. Later it happens. Perhaps Richard is the black box that Ben talked about. Other -As a wild guess, the albino rabbit from Ben's childhood is the same one he used in front of Sawyer if Sawyer's rabbit was also albino (don't remember) -young Ben's childhood sweetheart is probably going to play a part in the future. The reason for adding that arc isn't complete and she wasn't shown being killed in the purge. -I read where people think Season 4 is going to take place off the island because of Desmond's vision of getting taken off the island: I disagree. The island is the source of mystery and power, so the plot is going to continue to revolve around the secrets of the island. Last edited by softwillow : 07-05-2007 at 12:09 AM. |

Richard = native of island, ages very slowly because if islands properties. Convinced Ben to turn on Dharma and exterminate them. Naomi = working for Thomas Mittelwork, Alvar Hanso's ex partner in the original Dharma initiative. Supposedly, Hanso reformed, and Mittlework is bad. She said "I am not alone" in Italian.

| Couple quick questions: I skipped season three because of all the bull shit, but am rewatching from the start so I can catch back up before season three comes out and I cave and watch it. Watching through the first season, and remembering the second, I'm wondering if the following was answered: The monster? The crazy monster kids in the forest? Ethan's (what seemed to be) super strength? Locke's legs and other such miracles? The first season had some other than normal physical reality type things going on, and I remember the second season didn't really answer them, and almost completely dismissed them with the others being shown as normal. Please don't spoil the details for me if any answers are yes, but just let me know if I can get a tiny bit of closure once I finish season three?

| No. No answers for any of that. I don't actually think there was anything in Season 3 which resolved any of the scifi aspects of the previous two seasons. You do find out a lot more about the Others though. |

| That's a bummer. I remember that guy Ethan being dispatched by Ben in Season 2. Looked normal in that scene, but in season 1 he's super human. I have a feeling that many season 1 and 2 things won't be addressed.

kids in forest: sort of, revealed through inference. ethan: he probably was just strong combined with dramatic effect. alot of ethan is shown, but nothing about being more than human. Lockes legs: yes, actually. you see how locke got paralyzed, and why he can walk again. This is answered quite clearly.

+7 Internets | As mentioned, you find out more about Locke and his legs, but more "miracles" are introduced. |

| Why do I feel like all those things have more or less been answered? Sometimes I feel like I'm watching a different show or something...no, they haven't had 10 minute scenes with star trek level technobabble, but its pointed at all over the place.

+7 Internets | What's pointed at and what is actually going one are often two different things when it comes to Lost. |

You do learn a lot more about Ethan, John Locke's legs, and the monster in season 3. You see more of each of those things in flashbacks and live. Basically you learn bits and pieces of each but they have not been fully explained yet. Basically the show is a puzzle and they keep giving you pieces of the puzzle until the end and then it all comes together. But you will be pleased in Season 3 if you pay attention you get many clues and insights in things such as the monster which was seen and discussed in many episodes. Also I saw someone was "skipping" season 3. Do not "skip" season 3, season 3 was fantastic. All three seasons were amazing.
