And McCheese, I noticed the same thing. A big red tattoo under his left forearm.

*Edit* I've also been thinking about the sub and how I think Locke isn't as dumb as I've been thinking he is lately.
Notice how his clothes were dry when he was in the sub, and wet when walking down the dock? While watching it, I remember saying to my wife, "Why is he going so far into the sub just to plant the C4? He could easily put that on the hatch and destroy it."
What if he didn't blow the sub? What if he submerged it, swam out and planted the C4 on the dock and blew that up?

He always had that "new" tattoo... it's just a lot less obvious since it's on the underside his arm.

Thought that episode was completely amazing. Best of the season for sure in my eyes. I don't mind when the plot is narrowly focused on the others and a few characters, just as long as it doesn't pointlessly drag on for what...6? episodes like it did early on. This had 4-5 likeable main characters, kicking ass, and TONS of new info.
Have to agree on not forseeing Locke's injury being sustained like that. Locke is god :P

Apparently the submarine was named the "Galaga"...

Some are stating that it means there are possibly two submarines...

It is named Galaga. Which is really fucking confusing since it's a reference to a video-game, and nothing else.

I like the latest episode. I am also very concerned about the 'magic box'. It could go both ways, either a great plot device or deus ex machina. Heres to hoping.

I think the magic box was just a creation that Ben used to manipulate John Locke into doing what he wanted (which was destroying the sub). How Cooper ended up there is going to be a good story tho!

It might have just been a metaphor, there isn't actually a 'magic box'. Ben was possibly alluding to the room where Locke's father was.

Despite the fact that those two are unsavory, "new" character's first flashback episodes have all been pretty good. Desmond's first flashback was neat; Mr. Eko's first flashback was one of the baddest-ass of all Lost episodes; Rose's first wasn't all that bad; Ana-Lucia's I don't remember much of so it probably sucked, like most of the rest of her character (barring the Sawyer seduction).

So there is hope for tomorrow night!

im interested to see what they do with paolo and nikki. during one of the podcasts earlier this season the creators talked about them a bit and they know that the big fans hate them. I bet they have a real good backstory...were I a betting man I would bet they are others that infiltrated and managed to not get caught, but that might be too easy.
