+9 Internets | Great start to the season. But...it just doesn't feel like Lost without the flashbacks/flashforwards. I didn't feel like I was watching Lost, but rather a normal (albeit excellently written and acted) show with a fairly straightforward plot. On another note, who could have ever guessed after the pilot episode that the show would be about getting BACK to the island in season 5? God I love Lost. | Which is strange because after Season 3 they told everyone they wouldn't mix everything up in the same episode because it would be so confusing. Miguex: I think we've seen enough of the "their just regular guys in a strange place!" I think it's something deeper. But I'm probably just falling into their trap. |

| Going against the crowd here to say that the first episode of season 5 was pretty shit. Almost falling asleep half way through it. This show is a far cry from how amazing it was in season 1, its just a heap of shit now, only saving grave is having kate on screen. |

+58 Internets | Great first two episodes. Really was glued to the TV for every second. Hopefully we'll be getting more meat on the bone type episodes like the last few and less filler like some previous seasons have given us. I'm done with the old man and rose though, they overact and give us nothing but a familiar face now. |

| Alright, let's try to figure out the rules the show has laid out for timetravel thus far. There do seem to be some... inconsistencies. The island itself disappeared(went back through time) Anyone not an other is sent through time, (that was on the island at the moment of initial time travel). The others are, presumably, not sent through time. The island itself reverts back to the time being shown. We can assume that if the people being sent through time were sent to a period when they themselves were on the island earlier, there would be 2 of each person on the island. The function that the show seems to be following is that the island, and anyone on it at the moment the wheel was spun, are thrown through time (remember that the island disappeared). The problem is that if the losties re-appear in the past as their "current" selves, why isn't the island itself current, having disappeared and presumably traveling through time as well? The others are easily explained as being a natural part of the island. The island resets to the time period, the others do too. Although again, this isn't consistent with the Losties retaining their current selves.
