All that flash forward proves is they get off the island. It doesn't mention one thing about how they get off.

Locke knows that Naomi and the people on the boat are not there to rescue them. He semi-believes Ben when he said that they will kill them all.

If the people from the boat are allowed on the island, they might take some of the survirors off, but they'll also not rest until the Others, and John, are all dead as well.

Ask yourself which has more dramatic tension:
Not-Penny's-Boat drives up and says "Hai guys, you need a ride?" and the "flashforwards" show everyone as they are on the Island at the end of Season 3.
-Or-
Not-Penny's-Boat is not only hardassed Hanso motherfuckers, but they don't even know that Faux 815 (the crashed plane Naomi mentions is probably a real 747 Hanso crashed to prevent any search and rescue from running into the Island) was staged, assumes the Losties are Others (recall just what Enter 77 means), kills/incarcerates/forces into hiding all the Losties - and our flashforwards show (some) of the Losties still rescued, but they are totally changed from last time we saw them. What happened to them? Why do we only get some flashforwards - is everyone without one dead? What the hell is going on!?!

Hell, if I were scripting the thing, I wouldn't have their escape happen until the end of the season - and would prefer it to happen at the same time as their flashforward return to the Island.

Note: I predict a lot of viewer division over this inversal of season 1 - 3, i.e. instead of us asking "What happened to these people that changed them from the people we see in flashbacks to the people they are now on the Island" we start asking "What happened since Not-Penny's-Boat arrived to turn them into the people they now are in the flashforward era". Some will see an elegant mirror structure (and hey, what's the title of the episode that switched how things work on us?) and some will view it as lamely reusing the same plot as the early seasons.

Oh yeah, I'm not surprised no one here reads EW magazine, but I saw a link to this:
''Lost'': Dr. Jack spills secrets | Lost | Cover Story | TV | Entertainment Weekly | 1

The interview seems to explicitly state that Jack's "bring down my father" was just him being so high he didn't know his Dad was dead, which I find to be an appallingly manipulative piece of bullshit plotting. Seriously, "dudes, I was soooo high" pisses me off more than smoke monsters, immortals, and sonic fences do.

My favorite movie site had that interview on there listed with a spoiler tag and i have been avoiding like the plague in hopes of avoiding all information about the upcoming season. I am retarded about knowing details about a show in fear of my brain going deconstruction and figuring out a plot and losing the thrill of discovery.

That sounds so highly illogical it would fit perfectly in Lost.

Imagine the meeting 15 minutes after the 815 crash:
Hey guys, a plane crashed on our island, there are 2 groups of survivors that only know they're on an island somewhere in the pacific. We have two options now

1. Rescue them immediately before they realize how fucked up the island is and drop them in LA.

2. Crash a 747 worth many million dollar so they'll stop looking for 815

Yeah let's go with 2!

Depends on how wealthy the organization is and how important they feel the island is. Besides, I'm sure they had insurance on the plane.

Enter 77 was only a self destruct sequence that blew up the comm center on the island. the underwater base was jamming all signals so Locke didnt inadvertently contact "not-penny's-boat". Isnt it much more likely that asshole Michael stumbled into them with his boat thought they were looking for him and told exactly where he came from to rescue the other survivors?

Except that the Hanso crowd (or whoever's running that boat) can't get to the island without help. They couldn't have rescued Flight 815 because only the efforts of the survivors allow them to find the island to begin with.

Plus, we don't know whether they actually crashed the plane or whether that was a line fed to the survivors to screw with them. And if they did crash the plane, it's to stop more people from inadvertently stumbling onto the island and screwing things up even more, which is a plausible goal in the Lostverse.

There is a new lost season 4 trailer it is pretty badass. I saw it during Grey's Anatomy last week. I'll look for it on youtube to post here.
