As for your latter comment, I couldnt agree more. Its a great show, but can be ruined if they drag it out too long. I will be pissed off if its longer than 3 seasons or so.

+29 Internets | Yeah, almost bought it, but it was like 60 bucks CDN. That's fucking ridiculous. My home theatre has been dead in the water for almost three weeks now, so as soon as I get my receiver back I'll have to do a Lost weekend marathon. |

| Fanboi time hehe... IMHO... Lost is the best dramatic TV series I've ever watched. It has excellent writers. In almost every episode, there are a few of those OMFG!!!1 moments that are straight out of left field, that answer a couple of previous questions, yet spawn several more. The actors are for the most part, excellent. Not to mention, several smokin'-hot women. The general episode format of interweaving present and flashbacks seamlessly, yet meaningfully, is probably the best I've yet seen on TV. Not that it hasn't been done some before, but using it as the base format for telling the stories rocks. Character development is amazing. They do such a fantastic job of revealing layer after layer of character depth, often flipping your understanding of a character's motives completely upside down. The "mysteries" of the island and the general plot work on multiple levels. They balance it out very well. They're exciting enough at face value to intrigue casual viewers, yet they also keep the hardcore fans enthralled by embedding so many hints and clues and red herrings into every aspect of the show. At times blunt, more often oh so subtle. Just enter "4 8 15 16 23 42" into google for an example hehe. Anyway, episode 2 of the new season is tonight, I'm a hardcore Lost fan and I felt like lettin out a bit. =) PS to Eomer- Get the DVDs, do the marathon. You won't regret it. |

| I dropped the 60cdn for the DVDs Eomer and havent regretted it. They are very much worth the slightly higher price. I had a fun time figuring out some of the number references while viewing past episodes, but some of those are just crazy. A lot of them have to be coincidental. |
