I'm fucking disgusted by network TV. In the past year I've MAYBE watched a total of a few hours worth of NBC/ABC/FOX/CBS. I can't even remember why I would have watched that much.

There needs to be a subscription model for shows like Firefly where you can just get the episodes directly into your home for a monthly fee. Fuck TV networks altogether. The more you pay per month, the more perks you get. Basic will be cheap and you get the episodes...crank up the rates and you get shit like set replicas and interviews etc...

Basically you're asking for On Demand but for TV shows... man that would kick ass. Especially since I miss alot of my TV shows due to them being on in the 9-11 PM range, the time I'm most likely to NOT be home.

the on demand for tv shows might work but you'd have to do the yr subscription in advance and since each show costs a few hundred grand each the subscription (based on NO network money) would have to be ~20 bucks per episode with a min subscriber base of around 200 thousand...doable? yes. viable business model - imo not really...now if the network kicked in 50% of the money so the price would drop to about 10 an epsiode then it'd work.

I missed out by 15 min for pre screening that included a Q&A session with Joss Whedon. I'm so mad about that.

Ahh well, at least its only 2 weeks to go now and I get to see it in Gold Class.

I caught a preview screening here in Perth about a month ago, no Joss or anyone important presenting it but good none the less. Anyone who liked the TV show should be really impressed with the movie.
