Purchase the DVD, watch all the episodes and then listen to the commentary.

DVD 4 has an episode called "Objects in Space" with Joss (and only Joss) commenting on it. When you watch it, you'll realize just how much George Lucas sucks dog balls and why Whedon takes the big win.

In a perfect world, Peter Jackson & Joss Whedon would team-up and re-make all six Star Wars films.

Dead Like Me is really one of the best shows I've ever seen. Wonderfully cynical, yet sometimes shows some strong morals and values, and manages the impossible : every damn character totally rocks.

But particularly Rubens!

Whoever made that trailer for Universal needs to learn how to encode properly. The wmv version is just as bad too.

i was bored and borrowed the star wars ep 2 dvd from my SW geek friend, and watched deleted scenes commentary.

George Lucas is like "yeah, there was too much dialogue in this scene and it slowed the movie down. So we cut it"...and I realized he purposefully sought to make the shittiest 3 movies possible, just to see if star wars fans would swallow them. God forbid he put in any scenes with too many words which might've made us like any of the new trilogy characters.

I liked firefly, they actually talked :P

There's a word in Indian (as in India, not native American) that's a curse word that goes something like this:

Saying the word to someone means that the speaker masturbated into a river. A fish came and ate the semen discharged from the speaker. The fish was caught by the listener's mother and eaten and that's how the listener (the one being insulted) was conceived. By a whote who ate a fish that ate man-butter from a river.

Right now, I wish I could remember that word. I wish we had words like... words to express the mule-fucking contempt I now hold for you at the implication of that afterbirth of a show could even be worthy of a handjob from a whore that some guy Joss Whedon kicked in the nuts turned down. If televion shows were fine wines, Firefly would be a hundred dollar bottle of something old and tasteful where Lexx would be something that someone drank on a dare to avoid having to drink their own piss.

I hope you lead a long happy life, but when you die, my dogs eat your flesh.

I think I have to go change my pants now.

Joss Whedon is an excellent director, and it's really disappointing that both Angel and Firefly got cancelled; Angel's ending was totally halfassed, and Firefly didn't even get one. And his plans for a Buffy/Angel movie were ruined because that slut Sarah Michelle Gellar refuses to do it. I hate when the good guys get all the bad luck.

Also pretty enthousiastic about the release of Serenity. I stumbled upon Firefly the other day and watched the 13 (?) episodes in one day, I'm just glad I didn't hear about it earlier because it'd have pissed me off to no end to not know that there wouldn't be anymore before I started watching them. Objects in space kicks ass.

Hopefuly the movie will deliver and Firefly will be the first space epic of the 21st century, everything that the new star wars weren't.

ha, I thought facing down all the forces of evil while the human companions all died was a fitting end to Angel.

Not as hardcore as the ending of Forever Knight, but a lot less cheesy than Buffy's "we killed the ultimate mother demon and woke up every slayer in the world! and we're all lesbos now, too." It was like they started using scripts that were secretly written by the same guy who wrote scripts for Xena: Lesbian Princess.

just cut out sarah michelle gellar. 2 hours of spike and angel running around in a quasi-Highlander way, and also have a 10-minute long scene with willow and evil blue fred make out. I'd pay to see that.

I have to say, even though this was directed at me...

This is the funniest flame I've heard in a long time.

I still fucking hate Joss Whedon though.

Not sure if it counts or not but I would add Global Frequency to the list of shows that ended before there time. In this case ended before it even began. I saw the pilot a while ago, and why not super brilliant, it certainly had a good premise and great potential to grow into a good show. Unfortunatly it wasn't picked up so hasn't gone any further, but hopefully there's a lot of support for it so that the network changed their mind.

I had Firefly queued up in Netflix and I happened to get only Disc 1 and two other movies. Well...I watched Disc 1, and immediately decided I could not wait for the rest of the Discs to ship out, so I went and bought the Box Set, literally the same day. Well worth the money.

Can't wait for the movie. I heard that Universal has a contract for 3 Firefly movies and that possibly Sci-Fi might pay for a new season? I hope so, glad I found out about Firefly so late, if I had watched it back in 2002 I think I'd go crazy waiting for something good to happen with it.

I've just started the series and am fairly impressed so far. Not "OMG FUCKING AWESOME" impressed yet, but I'm still only 2 episodes in.

It doesn't surprise me Fox axed it though. Fox cant seem to keep a show that isnt a shitty cartoon or retarded reality show running anyways. Hi Arrested Development hanging on by a thread.
