| Bands and Singers I recently went to an all day concert (Warped Tour), and had the chance to meet a bunch of members of bands. It was cool, because all the guys from the bands were just walking around the venue like they were nobodies and it was really easy to go and talk to em. Probably the coolest guy I met was Andrew W. K., who was signing autographs at his tent for like 4 hours after his show. I guess what I'm tryin to say is, Have any of you met/conversed with band members, and who was the coolest you've met?

| I've met a ton of musicians playing and just going to shows, but the three that stand out are: Peter Steele, in the Carnivore days (singer/bassist for Type O Negative) - The guy brought us food and booze after we told him how much we hated his band. Ended up hanging out in the parking lot at Harpo's with him and a bunch of hottie women until like 6am. Guy is hilarious, and will spend more time making fun of his rockstar visage than anything else. Rocky George, former lead guitar player from Suicidal Tendencies - I got to meet him one day when he walked into a music store that I used to work at. No one in the entire place knew who he was until I saw him and freaked out (I was like the worlds biggest Suicidal fan when I was 16). Anyway, he gave me 4 free tix and a couple all access passes to the show they were playing with Megadeth the next night. And, I got to help him figure out the controls on his new Alesis preamp that he bought that day. Kid Rock - Now granted, I really, really dislike almost everything that he's ever done music-wise. I'm just not into that kinda' thing. But he's one of the coolest, most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. I ran into him quite a few times back in the day when he was just doing the local thing in the Detroit area. Then, back after he went platinum with his first album, me and some friends ran into him at a club here in the city called "Alvin's". We just hung out shooting pool and kickin' back some brews, and talking about tunes and bands and stuff. I could ramble about a few hundred more, but after a while you just don't get starstruck anymore. |

Gob ages ago, after the show my friends and I went to go smoke up with them. Well, my friends did, I dont smoke/smoke pot so just stood there and talked for a bit, nice guys. |

| Heh, I don't like Kid Rock's music much either but I gotta respect him. He said one of my favorite quotes from a celebrity: "Before the internet I'd make 8 million, now I make 6, boo-fucking-hoo."
