| New music thread This is mostly self serving, but I figured others could get some use out of it. heheh I'm trying to find some great new music, so I'll post a few things I'm into at the moment with a definitive song by them (a song I feel gives a good idea of the band) and you do the same for bands you think would be of similar interest to someone who likes these. Diet Rock: Coldplay-shiver, Phantom Planet-anthem, The Smiths-big mouth strikes again, John Mayer-neon Harder Rock: Mindless Self Indulgence-bitches, White Stripes-there's no home for you here, Lots Prophets- shinobi vs dragon ninja Techno: Junkie XL-little less conversation, Daft Punk-harder, better, faster, stronger, Roni Size-brown paper bag, Chemical Brothers-setting sun misc: The Streets-sharp darts So uhh, post some you'd think would be good similar to any of that stuff. |

| Not sure what your definition of "new" is, since some of those bands have been around for quite a while, so I'm just gonna list a few bands that are semi-underground that more people should listen to... 2 Skinnee J's - Horns Of Destruction World/Inferno Friendship Society - Zen and the Art Of Breaking Everything In This Room Mindless Self Indulgence (goddamn I love MSI) - Pretty much any of their songs... Snapcase - Zombie Perscription Glassjaw - Tip Your Bartender Hopesfall - The End Of An Era Lifer - My Room Dropkick Murphys - The Rocky Road to Dublin Aphex Twin - Any song Jurassic 5 - Improvise Dillinger Escape Plan - 43% Burnt KMFDM - Anything from Nihil Bunch of other bands too, just can't think of them at the moment. I'll post more when I remember them. Looking back at that list, not too many of those bands are underground at all, but they're still good and I don't feel like editing the post anymore. And I know Aphex Twin's only one guy and not a band, so don't bitch. *EDIT*- Added some song titles.

| 'new' as in I may not have heard it. Even more mainstream bands if their 'radio song' was not respresentative of the band. exe: Cake. I like them alot, but most of their radio songs were not quite the rest of their style. Gonna check out some of these later when I have time to find em online. thanks all! Keep posting! |
