| Sam Roberts Sam Roberts is the lead singer, they're also called the Sam Roberts band sometimes. They're from Montreal, and just recently broke out in Canada, like in the past year or so. He had an EP that had 6 songs, and 3 of those songs so far have been pretty huge up here. So he put together a full length album that was released yesterday up here and will be on the 17th down there, and it includes those 3 songs that were huge, "Brother Down", "Don't Walk Away Eileen", and "Where Have All The Good People Gone". Anyways, the best way to describe their music is modernized 1960s / 1970s pop rock, kind of like the Beatles. If you're into that kind of thing, check out www.samrobertsband.com and listen to the clips of those songs, or just download the full songs off Kazaa, and tell me what you think. Kinda curious if he has potential to get big down there .Edit: just found out you can listen to the whole songs if you watch the video for it under "video" section, for 2 of the songs only. And also, ignore their biographies because they're completely made up for some reason. Last edited by Schar : 06-04-2003 at 09:58 AM. |

| Mark Bolan was the best for lying. "If you've got it, flaunt it. If you haven't, lie about it" Or some other butchery of the original quote. My favourite story was where one of his songs reach number 2 or 3 in the charts after his last two going number 1. He refused to admit he'd even written the song because he was supposedly so unhappy about it. At least I assume he was lying about that ![]() |
