Matrix: Reloaded Album, thoughts?

I think it's pretty good so far, although not as good as the first Matrix's album. Some hardcore and good stuff, melodic, flowing and in a style that fits the Matrix quite well, in comparison to the first one too.

I haven't heard the second CD though, hehe, so well. But I'm quite positive over the first. But I was actually quite positively surprised over Linkin Park's Session, and I don't usually like LP (yes I'm one of a few heh), same goes for Marilyn Manson.

How about you guys?

Dread Rock and Zion are my favorite songs, I also like the matrix themes. The actual songs with words I'm not a big fan of, besides the Rage song (which wasn't made for the soundtrack) and the dave mathews song which is pwn.

The remix of the DMB song was a surprise. Waiting through the credits for the Revolutions trailer and it popped up. Might buy the album just for that

Zombie song was decent for Zombie. RATM song was pretty mediocre for them. Linkin Park and Manson suck goat ass as expected, no surprises there.

Zion and Mona Lisa Overdrive are really the only two tracks I listen to off it... glad I just got the mp3s. I hope they use a lot more Juno Reactor on the next one, and a lot less nu-metal junk.

yeah

I loved the theme songs.

And hehe, I was mostly inspired to check out the album too because we sat like 20 minutes listening through a lot of songs waiting for Revolutions trailer

Damn good CD... my favorite tracks are "Furious Angels" (first disc) and the Burly Brawl song from the second disc. BB kinda sounds like Final Fantasy boss music in the beginning- cool shit.

The actual theme songs for the movie are pretty damn good, but the other songs are worse then the original Matrix soundtrack.

I found most of the tracks nice, although im no fan of the theme songs.

Fluke's Zion, Oakenfield's Dread Rock, and that Manson song was cool imo, but DMB pwns.

Theu should of played Township Rebellion, No shelter here, or bullet in the head for a rage song IMHO. TR works for the first 15 lines or so....

Rebel, rebel and yell
'Cause our people still dwell in hell
Locked in a cell
Yes, the structure's a cell
Mad is the story I tell
How long can we wait?
Come on, seein' what's at stake
Action for reaction
If your mind's in a somewhat complacent state
Get a check up
This is a stick up
Our freedom or your life
Lord, I wish I could be peacful
But there can be no sequel

Now freedom must be fundamental
In Johannesburg or South Central
On the mic, 'cause someone should tell 'em
To kick in the township rebellion

Yeah, what about that sucker?

Yeah, so you thought you could get with the hardlines
That fill your mind
Thoughts, battles fought
And lessons taught
Yes I'll display the fitness
And flip like a gymnast
Raise my fist and resist
Asleep, though we stand in the midst
Of the war
Gotta get mine
Gotta get more
Keepin' the mic warm against the norm
'Cause what does it offer me?
I think often it's nothin' but a coffin

Gotta get wreck
'Till our necks never swing on a rope
From here to the cape of no hope

Now freedom must be fundamental
In Johannesburg or South Central
On the mic, 'cause someone should tell 'em
To kick in the township rebellion

Why stand on a silent platform?
Fight the war, fuck the norm (4 times)

(Guitar solo)

Why stand on a silent platform?
Fight the war, fuck the norm (4 times)

What's it gonna take?
Euuurrrggghhhhh!

Shackle their minds when they're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost
Shackle their minds when they're left on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost
Shackled our minds when we're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost
Shackled our minds when we're left on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost, lost, lost!

Shackle your minds and you're left on the cross!
When ignorance reigns, life is lost!
Just shackle your minds when you're bent on the cross!
When ignorance reigns, life is lost, lost!

Why stand on a silent platform?
Fight the war, fuck the norm (4 times)
