they a good hardcore metal type sound, check them out if you haven't already.

new? i've only heard them, never learned much about the band.

my favorites are Life to Lifeless, Just Barely Breathing, Element of One, and My Las Serenade (of course)

but i like Just Barely Breathing the most. imo they should get just a tad more melodic, not overdo it tho

One of my favorite new bands. I've only seen the old singer live, back when they were on tour with Soilwork last year. I've heard the new singer (think he was in Blood Has Been Shed?) is pretty fucking own though.

I really like this band. One of the better bands to come out lately imo. Anyone know what happened to the old singer? I saw an interview with the band, but they wouldn't really say what happened, just that he didn't wanna continue with the band or some shit, but they sounded like there was more to the story heh.

anyhow, great band. love the album.

I liked them before, but the new singer is MUCH better, especially since they don't sound even remotely MTV-friendly with him (whereas some of the stuff they used to do was getting dangerously close to becoming commercialized crap).

Of the two bands to come out of the break-up of Overcast, though, Shadows Fall will always be the better.
