Listen to Coldplay live in 10 mins (11:30 EST)

If anyone catches this and is a Coldplay fan, Edmonton's main rock station (the Bear) got the rights to broadcast the entire concert here tonight live, Coldplay should come out in about 10 minutes (11:30 EST, 9:30 local time). I doubt anyone will catch this, should have given more notice, but enjoy if you do . They'll be playing for about an hour and a half i believe.

Well it's over, sorry i couldn't give more notice. It was an amazing show, of course. I wish i had bought tickets before they sold out, only 40 bucks Canadian (30 American). "The Music" was one of the opening bands, they were good as well.

Coldplay has got to be one of the better live bands out there right now. They played for the full hour and a half, they played one completely new song that the Bear couldn't broadcast for obvious reasons, but the DJ said it was "grittier" than their normal stuff, which is interesting. They played every major single, and the encore was 3 songs, 'Clocks', 'In My Place', and 'Trouble'. If the Bear does this with any other concert, i'll give more notice.

The Music are superb, one of the british bands putting in the genuine effort to break into America. They were blowing the Vines (the old act they supported) off the stage nightly.

Did they play "Everything's not lost" at all? I thought it was a great one for ending show because of the big crowd singalong bit at the end.

I was planning on taping this with my stereo, but forgot about it until about an hour in, so I think I caught the last half hour or so. Coincidentally, the first song I started recording was Everything's Not Lost. He made a quick joke about being in a country and having to sing some of their music, so he briefly went into Avril Lavigne's Complicated, lol. He stopped that right away, and made a joke about how that was their one chance to sing along before one of them gets shot. Not sure if he was joking about the recent shootings in the city, or if he just was cracking a joke about rock stars getting stalked etc. Regardless, was amusing.

I am gonna probably reverse the wiring between my stereo and computer and encode what I do have into MP3's for the hell of it.

They're talking about how they might rebroadcast it, but nothing's official yet, the DJ i heard said he still had to get confirmation from "the big boss". Eomer, i'm pretty sure he made the "before one of us gets shot" comment because he had just finished singing part of an Avril song, that's how i took it anyways

Also yeah they did do "Everything's not lost" and it seemed to be the crowd's favorite, and you're right, that would have been a nice song to close the show with, everyone was singing pretty loud.
