there's nothing sexier than seeing a chick skank in a ska pit. for reals ska is all about having a good time, not all this rap/rock trash that is all about being depressed. when you go to a ska concert you feel like you could go up and talk to anyone and they would be hella nice to you. there's nothin better than the ska scene imo. i love it! i love chicks with style and who skank like nobodies business.

I loved the last ska concert I went to. We all skanked in a circle. My 3 buddies and I started, like 5 others joined in. Grand.

I personally find ska really annoying. Loads of people around me have started to like ska and all I ever hear are those damn syncopated guitars.

I don't mind the stuff that has some variety and body, but I just get sick of "British" ska, it's British kids who want to be American who want to be Carribean. They all sing in stupid faux American accents (or sometimes stupid faux Carribean accents for their slower reggae style songs.)

Thank god they took that p-rock channel off the air, British ska and British wannabe-American-punk.

Come to my home town where everyone listens to rap, it HELLA sucks, im talking about the real ska, catch 22, operation ivy, mad caddies, and my favorite reel big fish. i can't get enough

In my opinion ska is a speciallity style music, it's something you'll either love or hate for the most part.

Perhaps it's just the bombardment from lots of people that's made me like it less than I previously had (as you cite everyone listening to rap as a reason it sucks.) I didn't like it to start off with, but it just really annoys and bores me now

I like what I've heard from Less Than Jake because they manage to fill the music out and make it sound like more than just an annoying guitar riff, Reel Big Fish seem alright (though one of their songs is an unbelievable rip off of House of the Rising sun

)

I'm just a snobby post rock kid though, each to their own

Check out Pain, they are really hardcore ska so i don't think you will appreciate it. the people in my hood don't even give ska a chance. I wish we could all be happy and listen to ska rawr!

well considering those arent ska bands retard. ska is hepcat, slackers, the specials.

a trumpet and ska chords on a guitar doesnt classify it a ska band.

im trying to give them something they will know dude, they were like the old school ska bands, and just saying those 3 ska bands are the ONLY bands that play this type of music is ignorant, drive through plz. It's like you are looking for an argument
