| So I went to the PJ Show in Raleigh and.. Holy shit. Sleater-Kinney opened (they were good, not my type of music, but good), and gave way to PJ. They opened with Release and closed with Keep On Rockin' In The Free World, done with Sleater-Kinney. Oh, and some funny quotes... "Eddy Fucking Vedder said not to bring blankets and towels, cuz they were weapons of mass destruction" ~Some guy behind us And, towards the end of the show, he smoked what looked like a blunt, at least it looked like it from how he held it. Btw, fuck security, breaking up the pit that formed when they did Blood. Christ. Ed opened the open, per se, with Hide Your Love Away solo. Setlist Release Even Flow Save You Help Help Given To Fly Cropduster I Am Mine Lukin Not For You Corduroy I Got Shit You Are Small Town Insignificance Alive Porch Blood 1st encore: Gimmie Some Truth Love Boat Captain Better Man/(Save It For Later) Glorified G Evolution Rearviewmirror 2nd encore: Fortunate Son with Sleater-Kinney Rockin In The Free World with Sleater-Kinney Last edited by VelMonk : 04-16-2003 at 08:23 PM. |

| Oh man, Sleater-Kinney and Pearl Jam rule. Gratz on seeing a great show, but it's sort of troubling that security would break up a mosh pit. What the hell's wrong with venues down South?

| I believe it's a PJ thing. Ever since they had 9 people die at one of their concerts (listen to the lyrics to Love Boat Captain, "lost 9 friends we'll never know, 2 years ago today...and if our lives become too long, will it add to our regret"), they may have made a decision not to allow things like mosh pits. Most pits don't really belong at a PJ show anyway. Not much of what they do is aggressive, nor fast. |

| I'm just glad they started putting Glorified G back into the setlists. Up until this tour it hasn't been played since 1996. Hopefully they will play it when they get around my town. If now they would only play Satan's Bed and Leash.... |

| The pit only went on for about 30sec of one song, that was Blood. I was hoping like hell they'd play Leash, it's one of my favorite songs by them. But they didn't, oh well. I'm hoping to go to the July 1st Show also in D.C. (I live around Richmond), PJ is a good girlfriend concert. |

+1 Internets | I'll be at the Atlanta show this Saturday, 4/19. I'll be sure to tell you how it goes. It looks like they played a lot of Riot Act, but still busted out some of the old school hits. Glorified G.. damn I love that song. |
