Music Maven: The EQ Killer

I have discovered the next great online game! It's quick, it's easy, and it's got an infinite number of possibilities.

Music Maven lets you create your own band (select from one of up to 50 genres), manage the group, and do just about anything else with them. The goal is to tour successfully, make top-selling albums, and acquire groupies and such.

It's a very easy game to play, once you figure out what you're doing. The possibilities for bands are limitless, and actually quite humorous. Right now I'm managing a boy band called "Boy Town." They're getting all the songs worked out for their debut album. They'll soon take the Top 10 charts by storm.

Unlike EQ, Music Maven is turn-based. You just choose what changes you want to make, set your band's schedule, and then run off to live your life. Every night at midnight EST, the game takes its turn (1 month game time = 1 night RL time). You are free to see what happened to your band the next day, and set your new schedule.

Playing the game takes less than 10 minutes per day, tops. Hardly the sort of time commitment you'd expect from the line in the FAQ you quoted.

The FAQ quote just sorta stuck out as something SoE would say on the back of an EQ box

Looks pretty fun, I usta play games like this on a local BBS. Legend of the Red Dragon is the one I remember best, usta use my daily turns every day before going to grade school. Fun Stuff.

Anyone remember Funeral quest? Worked the same way pretty much. It got to the point that by 12:15 I had already blew all my turns.
