| JUGGALO'S!!! I love ICP.. They are one of the few acts that do it their way... They have had a very good career and sell out concerts all over the nation with NO mtv, NO raidio airplay, and no selling out. They are true to who they are, and make fun stuff. They have good beats, and good rhymes, and have fun in their world. If you listen close you actually hear positive messages as well.. Homies is the the first song ICP song able to go into radio play rotation, because its not overly obscene. I don't think its a sell out, because they have had other feel good songs, this one just was picked up by radio. They are a white rap groupof 2 guys Shaggy 2 Dope, and Violent J. They rap about the evil in the world, and in the hearts of men. Some of their older stuff can be a little harsh, but if you start at The Great Milenko -- > The Wraith they have a lot more broad appeal sound. I go to a lot of concerts, and can genuinly say there is nothing like, and nothing more fun than an ICP concert.. They are very unconventional, and unique. FAYGO!!! *note* I didn't read the original post before it was deleted. I just wanted someone with actual knowledge of ICP to speak up for them before they got blasted with ignorance. |

Post modern composers like to jump cut from one style to another: think Zorn. ICP’s music drifts from one locus to another like the action in a dream, where the guiding intelligence may thwart rational progress. Some compositions feature glaring wrong notes or brazenly dumb ideas; no piece exists in a definitive state. Players have the option of making some will fully idiotic melody sound better or even worse. From one performance to the next, a piece may sound radically different." ICP’s mix is perplexing in the best sense: the music doesn’t give up its secrets on first hearing, or second, or third. It keeps you coming back. This is jazz / improvised music at its most deft and sophisticated. The musicians treat it with the reverence usually reserved for a chewed – up slipper." | Hah, this thread had me wondering about the lyrics for an ICP song, the search yeilded that site as the first item found. Be funny to see a bunch of 14 year olds with painted faces flicking off these guys...  My word Ernst, I do believe those hooligans are demanding that I bury my piccolo in my nether regions and play their "skin flute" instead... Found the lyrics BTW... | Hi, the bands a parody. Saying the music sucks is like saying 'Airplane' wasn't very realistic. No one's under the illusion that they're talented muscians with something deep to say. Get over the elitist self righetousness kids, just makes you look silly. |
