I've seen every genre of music in these forums and the only kinds really hated on is pop and rap. I guess this kind of shit can still be considered pop though since pop is just short for popular?

This. Kanye delivered some of his stronger rap work too, but rapping was never his strong suite unlike Em.

There's as much music and skill in well performed rap as in any other genre. As with any other genre there's also a massive amount of crap.
