Recommended: "Bad Boy Bill"

Hey Millie and the rest of the newly added music house forum! New to posting here and I just thought that this would be a good first post.

So anyway, I wanted to recommend a cd for all those techno, house techno and trance fans out there...

Bad Boy Bill - Bangin' the Box Volume 5

It's a great cd and for trance fans it isn't as trancy as some others because it vears more closer to house techno than anything else. The constant bass beats and the technique that Bad Boy uses almost has a tease factor to his music. He'll start out real slow but not too slow to keep you into it then rushes into the bass.

I just went to Bad Boy Bill, which was my first house techno consert in Boise, ID, USA at the Big Easy Consert House and I was instantly hooked. He keeps the crowd going the whole time and you couldn't help but keep dancing the whole time. It was such a rush. Plus with the Big Easy it's a type of venue that he is up in your face in a close enviroment. These are pics from the concert.

Check tour dates on his web site to see if he is coming near your town, I highly recommend it if your into the techno scene. I had such a blast.

I went to the "house music" tent in coachella this year and my face nearly exploded (you could hear the bass in the parking lot, about a mile away). Oh, and some extremely tall asian asked my mouse of a friend if he was baked yet. And by ask I mean grabed him by the arm and dragged him into a dark corner and yelled.

Moral of the story: house music = 5 second long sample played on repeat for 10 minutes, techno = sometimes somewhat more interesting if the person dj'ing can play an instrument, too.

My point? . . .

I had one?

I like a wide range of electronic music from house to jungle to gabber, etc.. The tricky thing I find though, is finding stuff that

a: Doesnt have a boring 3 min intro, 30 seconds of something good, then ends.
b: isnt the same loop repeted for 5 mins

now, there is stuff out there that avoids A&B .. but, it can be tricky to find.

I *hate* it when you got like, a 3 min intro thats just meh... then it picks up to something really good/funky .. but lasts for like, 2 seconds, and then even worse, is if they fade into a boring 3 min out-tro

However, I havnt listened to Bad Boy Bill in ages, but if I recall correctly, he did avoid A & B pretty descently.

Personnaly, I love DJ Caffine

I like quite a few subgenres of eletronic flavors of music, among them, drill/drum & bass, trance, IDM, experimental, ambient. I am trying to produce my own record (yeah fucking lame eh) but I have published a few tracks, non-copyrighted, and they are probably floating around on Kazaa. Anyway it's really easy to make your own music, if you are reading this, you probably own a computer...all you need is a way compile and edit the sounds you assimilate into samples, which in turn you make into tracks.

Hey Zurren, if you like dynamic eletronic wizardry, check out some of Planet-µ's stuff. That's the label started by µ-ziq aka, Mike Paradinas, aka Kid Spatula, aka .... I can't remember all of his monikers. Anyway, he has some good works from such artists he is friends with like Jega (Dylan Nathan) and the imfamous Aphex Twin (Richard D. James), among which if I had to recommend one album, Jega's Geometry...
