Chevelle - Sci-Fi Crimes (Sept 8th)

I love this band. They are my number one all time favorite band.

I heard their first single, "Jars", about 3 days ago on the radio. The new Album, Sci-Fi Crimes, comes out on Sept 8th. I can't wait.

Definitely a great band. Good live show too. Was sweet to have David Draiman come out and sing the Red with them.

ive always liked their shit, but don't expect a very positive response from the radiohead fagclub that dwells on this forum

Good song, always liked what I have heard from these guys but never followed them too close. Will have to check this out come Sept.

I'm also a big fan but was a little bit underwhelmed when I saw them live. It was a good show but the singer's voice was much higher and whinier than I expected. Always like their studio work though.

For those that care, this has leaked.

First half is pretty damn good. At the 7th song though....well might as well just have released the first 6 songs. That being said, I'd put it above Vena Sera, just barely.

All their songs sound very very similar, sounds like run of the mill rock to me. And it always bothered me that one of their hit songs was a complete ripoff of a Deftones tune. Although I'll take this over the Vampire Weekend trend of music that's taken over lately.

This is amazingly accurate. I'm not sure it's above Vena Sera, but I do like those first 6 songs a lot.

Well, I am gay for this band and will buy the CD regardless. I really liked Vena Sera and I am pretty sure I will like this one. There really isnt a song of theirs I dont like.

Shameful Metaphors and This Circus seem to be my favorites so far.

This is realy a good CD though, but again, I am gay for this band, so its hard for me not to like it.

Speaking as somebody who has never really listened to Chevelle. I'm enjoying this album. The Jars single hooked me in and I'm finding their entire catalogue to be quite good.
