The Official Guitar Thread

This thread is where you can post pics of your guitars/basses. Discuss models, equipment, and hardware. As well as discussions on music itself. Whether it be creating, theory or looking for tabs/sheet music.

Here's a few guitars I've managed to get my hands on over the years.

That's a pretty crazy setup, those connectors aren't cheap. Nice bass too

Here's a few of mine.

2002 PRS Custom 24 - 10 Top. Best playing guitar I've ever held....until I bought my Mira. Incredible tone, but not my favorite neck.

1997 Seagull S12 - Cedar 12 String. The cedar top, gives this one a VERY bright sound. Only problem is it doesn't hold up much to a beating. Hard to tell from the pics, but the "should be" pick guard area is worn deep.

1987 Yamaha SJ-180 - Old cheap acoustic I bought in college from a friend for 50 bucks. Has been played more than any other guitar I own.

And my 2009 PRS Mira Custom. Best playing guitar I've ever held. Has a coil tap, to switch from Humbucker to Single Coil. I can get any sound I've ever had in my Les Paul's, and back to my Strat sound in the flick of a switch. I LOVE this guitar.

I'll get pics later today, but I've also have:

1988 Les Paul Standard - Tobacco Sunburst. Needs re-fretting badly. One of the best looking guitars I own, although not the best playing.

1976 Les Paul Black Beauty - Doesn't play worth a damn. Looks decent though. Needs a bit of work.

1987 Fender Strat Plus - The worst playing guitar I've ever owned, although decent tone. Was a gift. The reason I've never bought another Fender guitar.

You can now own your own Matt Bellamy styled Manson guitar for about $5000. So very tempting.

I've got way too many guitars, and not enough good pics of any of them, but here are a couple of mine.
There's also a "not all of them, but here's the ones that fit on the couch" family shot from last summer. The receiver in my rack (hah) is to drive my sequencer.

Specs and build pics on the custom are here.

Michael Sherman 7:

Mopar RG550:

Ibanez 12. Wasn't too expensive, sounds great, pretty top:

Brian Moore i8:

RG7620 with a UJ kit, Schecter 7 and one of my racks. The receiver drives my sequencer:

The obigatory "this is all that would fit" shot:

RG5T. The wretched EMG's are gone from this, replaced with AN/EVO.

Ancient shot of my studio, Schecter C1 off to the side:

RG2228. Fun toy, ended up not getting along with the scale length (too short, impossible to get a crisp F#, sadly):

And just because I'm fired up about it, the Sims replacement body I've got in the works for a different resto project. It'll be getting a maple neck/board from a 550.

My first bass, refinish was inspired by Larry Graham's bass.
