but that's not including the $800 shipping fee for overseas.

Actually I don't know what the shipping fees would be, but 375... there's gotta be something wrong with it.

One of the guitar players in one of my bands bought one of those. They're legitAF. His is a spalted maple LP style body. It plays like a dream. Just throw in some burstbuckers and you've got a rockin' guitar for next to nothing (in guitar prices).

Yep, as I said before if you can get a good Agile/Rondo, they're a total steal. Just be prepared to deal with some fit/finish issues.

Unrelated, behold glorious purple Carvin:

The few Carvins I have played were very nicely made guitars.

Seconded. I love my Carvin. It is no doubt my go-to guitar in all situations. I need to actually take a picture of it and post it because they're about as beautiful as they sound. Mine is greenburst flame maple top with gold hardware. It looks very tasty.

The thing that makes me lust for them above all is the brilliant finish work that they do. Every one I've seen looks like the clearcoat is a mile thick.

A little pile of happiness from tonight, time for a beer.

I can honestly say that I own one of the best sounding Ibanez's ever made.

I don't know what, exactly, makes this ancient, low-end, stock-pickup'ed guitar sound so good, but it's in a league of it's own in terms of clean/bluesy tone. Bought this with my paper route money when I was about 15, and at 33 I'm still yet to find anything that even comes close to it.

Not a fan of the headstock, but they're beautiful pieces.

Anyone have any thoughts on these?

Hartke 2.5xl (2x10 + 5") cab $150
Hartke - 2.5XL specs

Carvin R600 Bass Amp $225.00

I have a Musicman Sterling and play mostly rock/alt/punk type stuff.

It all depends on how worried you are about clarity and precision with your sound. 2x15 will hit, but I don't know how great they'll be for more high range stuff. I personally stick with a 6x10 just because I play a 5 string and most cabs I come across just can't handle that low end if they are turned up, especially in a practice room.

As for the head, I haven't had any experience with carvin bass heads. I've only used ampeg and swr heads up until now. Looks pretty solid though, but I'd ask on a bass forum for how the tone would be, especially for the style of music you play.

Edit: Nm, read that wrong. 2x10's shouldn't be bad at all.
