Looking for good rap and techno Hi all, I'm looking for some more rap to download. Preferably non-mainstream (ie no Xzibit, DMX, Ludacris..). Recently got some KRS One, and the best yet: DJ Quick. So any suggestions are appreciated. On the techno side, I mainly like fast beats (with bass), none of the slow beat-less trance stuff. Of course already have all the essentials like Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Infected Mushroom, Eat Static, Man With No Name (check this one out, definetly awesome), Crystal Method, Prodigy, Brooklyn Bounce... looking for something new. Checked out Moontribe, didn't like it.

Oddball rap DJ Clue - some mainstream but a lot of undergrond stuff from mix tapes. Pharoh Monch - been putting out quality stuff for a while, just hasen't really crossed over to mainstream yet. Royce the 5'9 - about to drop his first mainstream CD, check out Scary Movie w/Eminem its an underground classic. Eyedea (sp?) - Made a name for himself when HBO broadcast a freesytle competition a while back, has some nice stuff floating around. DJ Magic Mike - Putt out some popular bass tapes in the early 90's, some of his later stuff had a more techno feel to it with hardcore basslines. I could probably dig up more for you, thats off the top of my head at work, I also have some local acts that are good but I doubt there avaliable for download anywhere.

. Rap- most of this is mainstream, but of recent. Nappy Roots is mainstream but they are damn good IMO. THX Clipse Check out anything Pharrel gets into usually Archie And for a "how the hell can he do that factor?" check out Rahzel (sp?) Trance - Check out DJ Doboy www.digitallyimported.com and check out any from euro dance to hardhouse and hardtrance. Edit: fixed Rahzel's name spelling, thanks Sartori Last edited by Bralkan : 11-17-2002 at 01:19 PM.
