| Though i do love Ministry and Skinny Puppy Trent Reznor was truly the first person to take Industrial to the next level , 80s industrial was just a heavier techno very repetitive. Trent is the god of Industrial maybe not the CREATOR but the most original and best at it...anyways back to 80s hmmm U2-best 80s band ever and still kickin ass Depeche Mode Tears for Fears Simple Minds Twisted Sister Ozzy Osbourne Def Leppard Journey |

| Worthy '80s Music: Jan Hammer: The guy who did the Miami Vice theme music. Toto's 'Africa' and Asia's 'Heat of the Moment'... Men Without Hats: 'Safety Dance'... Specifically, the video for Safety Dance which boasts a dancing midget. Pat Benetar: '80s version of a rock broad that would kick Madonna's ass. 'Shadows of the Night' and 'Love is a Battlefield' were the shit in their day. Men At Work: Before the fabled Australian Invasion of the late '80s which brought such timeless things as Yahoo Serious, Crockadile Dundee and the bald guy that said Oi! and sold batteries, we had 'Land Down Under'. Flock of Seagulls: Wasnt the video for 'I Ran' the one that sported the lead singer with a uber-mullet and constantly panning camera? Big Country: Sang the song 'Big Country'... Takes balls to name a song after yourself AND pull it off. Michael Jackson (pre Batshit Insane): Off The Wall was a great album, but ruined now due to his complete and utter creepiness (ruined in the same way the Naked Gun movies are ruined due to OJ Simpson's presence). Really Classic 80's Music: The Smiths/Morrissey The Cure Joy Division Violent Femmes XTC Cowboy Junkies (Better in 90's, but started way back when) |
