Anyone else enjoy their music? I really dont know much about them, but from the songs I've heard, they are pretty awesome. Angry Johnny, Fly Away, and Beautiful Girl, to name a few of my favorites.

Poe is a female singer-songwriter, not a band :P Her real name is Ani Danielewski, and she's a native new yorker (right on).

I have both her albums. The first one - Hello is raw, organic rock meets subtle electronica. Real good stuff. The songs you mentioned - "Angry Johny", "Beautiful girl", "Fly away" are all on this album. Real good album too.

Her second album - Haunted is one of the best albums I've ever heard. The music has many more layers and is a lot more complex; somehow it resembles Garbage and Radiohead, but still maintains a very original beauty to it. Poe is much more comfortable as a singer, and she gives some amazing vocal performances. Her lyrics on this album are terrific as well - on par with some of the best singer/songwriter lyricists like Ani Difranco or Fiona Apple. Some of my favorite songs from the album are "Haunted", "Control", "Wild", "Amazed", "Walk the Walk".

Only time I saw her in concert was when she opened up for Depeche Mode on their exciter tour.
