| Plugged In Like Neo | Music to sleep to? I'm a big fan of sleeping to music - but it can't be too loud and obnoxious. Does anyone else have examples of albums/artists that you listen to while you sleep? Some of my favorites are: * "9" - Damien Rice * "The Reminder" - Feist * "Everything All The Time" - Band of Horses * "Drums & Guns" - Low * Any Decemberists * Any Iron & Wine * "Person Pitch" - Panda Bear * any Portishead * "In Rainbows" - Radiohead * "All The Stars and Boulevards" - Augustana * Any Elliott Smith How bout y'all? |

+2 Internets | Buckethead - Colma works very well for me. Maybe Voyage 34 by Porcupine Tree but it's more like trance music so I have to be in the right mood for it. Anything by Massive Attack is allright. Blonde Redhead - Misery is a Butterfly. Also playing Bach at a quiet volume isn't bad.

| I generally go for something with a downtempo usually without lyrics. So basically most ambient, real jazzy drum and bass or trip hop. But for something more specific... Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Vol 1 & 2 DJ Shadow - The Private Press or Preemptive Strike Blockhead - Broken Bets or Music by Cavelight and of course i find Portishead now and then lulling me to sleep every now and then. |

| Ambient Nights Series. That shit knocks me out. 'The Chill Surrounding the Promise of Snow' is the best CD imo. It will put you out. I can't really fall asleep to music I would normally just listen to. I just end up thinking about shit rather than sleeping.

+20 Internets | some of these are obvious choices. I don't really listen but a select 10-15 songs of different stuff to put me to sleep though. Like I would recommend Kevin Drew - Gang Bang Suicide, Phoenix - Love For Granted or The Stills - In The End but would definitely not recommend those albums, etc No Lyrics: Rachel's Brian Eno Mogwai Four Tet Helios Explosions in the Sky The Album Leaf (most of the time lyricless) Boards of Canada Broken Social Scene - Feel Good Lost Lyrics: Elliott Smith Beach House M. Ward Múm (not MUM) Radiohead Jon Brion The Wrens Elvis Perkins Mount Eerie Sigur Rós Death Cab For Cutie Caribou Bright Eyes Belle & Sebastian Bonnie "Prince" Billy The Smiths The Radio Dept Air Owen

| Actually now that I think of it, see if you can find some Bohren & Der Club of Gore. They would put a meth head to sleep right after smoking a rock. I don't understand how they keep time, as far as the drum beat and the high hat. |
