It's fucking songs like that one, that makes me embarrassed to tell me people i like hip-hop.

of course it could be worse....

I could be telling people i like rock and they naturally assume i like coldplay, or even worse yet, telling them i like punk then getting asked what my favorite fall out boy song is.

I am saying....

The public perception of hip-hop sucks because of songs like this and most of what hits the radio/Mtv and the faux gangsters imagery associated with it. So I generally hate telling people about my hip-hop obsession because they generally think i worship 50 cent and that breed of MC.

Fuck i hate talking with your average listener of hip-hop as well, i think these guys are actually worse than the people who just don't like the genre. Jezzy/TI/Lil'Wayne are bullshit, i can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me wen i get into a discussion on music, and the person i am talking to doesn't mention one of these names as their favorite....
