Ipod Questions...

I've left my ipod on the front seat of my car w/ and w/out the windows down where sun could sit lay on it. Everytime I've done that I have to reset it to get it to come back on. Is heat a common problem for ipods and can it permanently damage it? I'll probably make real effort to keep it with me or put it under the seat or something but if I leave the windows up and it's hot as hell in the car will that give the same results?

Is there a way to share itunes across the internet? I do it at work across the network np but can it be done across the net?

Can't tell ya if Itunes can be shared over the net, never tried it.

But yes, heat will damage your Ipod. Not only will it damage it, but it'll erase everything on it as well. I've made a habit of just carrying it with me when I go places. When I get home I just put it on the dresser with my wallet and keys.

So yeah, heat/direct sun light is not good for your Ipod.

My cellphone was laying on the seat beside my ipod. It's real obvious heat affects all electronic devices in the exact same way eh?

I have had mine freeze after sitting out in the sun on a docking station. I have to wait until the battery totally drains and then plug it in to get it to start working again.

No permanent damage yet but i'm not taking anymore chances. I knew about what Eomer posted but when you are drunk in the afternoon, outside in the summer heat, and people want to listen to music, you usually aren't thinking of issues like this.
