My Radio Show (playlists/recs)

My show this summer (after summer I'm done programming on KCSB because moving back to San Francisco) is from 2-4am PST, every Thursday morning. You can stream it from here:

KCSB-FM 91.9 in Santa Barbara » Webcast

Hope you guys check it out. Unless I choose otherwise, I play new music only (3/months old or newer from public release dates) in rock/electro. Over summer I'll have a dedicated 30-45 minutes for in house dubstep mixing.

Sweet.

I've been doing a (semi-)weekly radio show Saturday nights on Uberguilds Radio, but never got too many folks listening. It's mostly similar music although I admit I don't have the variety you seem to.

I won't be on this weekend, though.

It's a lot of work, I probably spend forty hours a week going through ridiculous amounts of new music in the hopes of finding a handful of songs.

But, its fun. I'd do it anyway, and I get to play it on the radio.

Yeah - I'm a lot more casual about mine. I just comb through my library and pick some songs I like for an hour or two before my show.

Again, basically what I'd do anyway if I were sitting at home - and I like being able to share the music I love others, and hopefully introduce them to new artists and songs.

Added a playlist. Also, Born Ruffians--Red, Yellow & Blue is on my preemptive top ten best albums of 2008.

It's ridiculously fucking great.

heh, my friend is a dj here at cal poly slo and i went and hung out with him one night when he was doing his late shift (4am-7am!). we just went through all of their cds and i threw the ones at him that i recognized then he would scan through the tracks finding one he wanted to play. sounds like your process is much more methodical =D

Shame, I can't find that Born Ruffians album in anything better than 192 CBR MP3 quality.

And after getting it, I do indeed like it. I'll be giving this a few more listens, but initial reaction is positive!
