Wolf Parade - At Mt Zoomer

So new wolf parade is out on Jun 17. Im a sucker for this band and all the side projects (swan lake, handsome furs and esp Sunset rubdown) so im pretty stoked. With that said its gettin mixed reviews. Id say its slightly different than Apologies to the queen but nothing you couldnt see coming if you've been listening to thier other bands. word.

its up on myspace MySpace.com - Wolf Parade - Montreal, QUEBEC - Indie / Experimental / Other - www.myspace.com/wolfparade if you wanna listen, California Dreamer stands out to me so far

Big fan of Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown - looking forward to this album. Thanks for the reminder that it's out tomorrow. =)

Extremely hard to live up to Apologies, but even so I think Zoomer manages to do just that. Another great album.

I like it a lot. Kissing the Beehive especially. I've had the leak for awhile but I guess I'll go buy it today. Fuck them for not playing anywhere close at all. You kids on the west coast though have fun with your 10 tour dates.

Standouts for me are Language City and California Dreamer.

Very different but I'm a fan.

"Soldier's Grin" is a badass opening track, but I'm also a "California Dreamer" like everyone else it seems.

I think it's an incredibly solid album though. Still glad they trade off vocals every other song.

Awesome album. It's not a remake of Apologies and it's different in a good way. I love bands that change it up from album to album. I saw them play the majority of Mt Zoomer in Portland last week and they fucking rocked.

Going to see them in ATL next Monday, very psyched. Wolf Parade is blowing up a little to the mainstream, I definitely read a review of the new album in fucking PEOPLE magazine the other day at the grocery checkout. Dan's work on this album is a ton better than the first, imo.
