| Finch EP Finch, formerly disbanded, is releasing a new EP self titled album soon! Although I wasn't really impressed by What It Is To Burn, they're one of my favorites bands because of Say Hello To Sunshine (SHTS is very dark and Edgar Allen Poe.). The vocalist's control is astounding. It takes awhile to get used to their sound, rhythm, and style, but it's worth it imo. the first 2 songs Daylight and From Hell are new. here's a link: MySpace.com - Finch - Temecula/Los Angeles, California - Electro / J-POP / Visual - www.myspace.com/finchmusic EDIT: Forgot to add... TURN YOUR FUCKING VOLUME UP! wooo!

| I try really hard to like Finch, I really do, but this song is very boring. The vocals are somewhat annoying with the effect over them to make them sound dirty. The chorus is pretty forgettable and the guitars are pretty generic. Not my cup of tea. However "Letters To You" on Punk Goes Acoustic is an amazing song. Give MySpace.com - A Skylit Drive (ON TOUR!!!) - Lodi, California - Screamo / Experimental / Rock - www.myspace.com/askylitdrive a try. They've toned down their screaming their album compared to EP. At first I didn't like it but the choruses for all the songs are pretty infectious. |

+9 Internets | Man I love Finch. Most people would say that Say Hello to Sunshine was not as What is it to Burn, and I would agree with them, but it was still good. I was excited when I saw they were getting back together. Now I'm fucking ecstatic. I didn't think they would put out some new music already. Downloading the EP now, thanks. |

I liked A Skylit Drive's EP a lot. I listen to it every few days. I dont think the new singer is quite as good, although they did have a lot of screaming on their EP which im not usually fond of. | |

| Like I said, it took maybe 5-7 plays of their new CD until it really caught on with me. Its a more mellow sound for when I don't feel like hearing more harder metals. The new singer sounds ALOT like the drummer when doing backups. I had to YouTube some live concerts of them because I actually thought it was the drummer. I was surprised to see the new lead singer doesn't actually do the screaming it appears to be the guitarist now. Which probably explains why there is less of it now in this album. Anyways I'm mucking up the Finch thread with a derail. Carry on Finch fans ![]() |

| Holy shi*! The mastered version of Chinese Organ Thieves from the EP is fucking epic. At the end he screams, "OH GOD KILL ME! SOMEBODY PLEASE KILL ME!" It has, I'd say, the best elements of WIITB and just takes it to a whole new level of awesome. (Note that WIITB is an album I think's mediocre, although it probably started the whole "emo" thing so it was probably good in it's time.) I played around with SHTS for like 1/2 a year to a year without realizing how great it was. Now I'm proud to have that shit anywhere I take it. The best song off SHTS is obviously "Reduced to Teeth."

1) They all give me the standard emo feel, like 6/7 of the guys have the same haircut as well. 2) Sounds very similiar to Coheed & Cambria, although I'm not really an authority because I don't listen to Coheed besides songs I've overheard. 3) They seem to be going through the basic rock band guitar/rythym motions. (This part we scream "ahh!", this part we say nothing and pull of techno/wesoundcoolanddifferentnow/solo, etc.) To each his own.
