iTunes/iPods and Album Covers

Okay,

So just recently I had purchased my first iPod after my old Creative Zen player finally died out after 7 years of faithful service. Since my first mp3 player was a first generation model with a text only screen I never put much stock into getting album cover art.

However, now I've got a video screen and a metric fuckton of mp3s that could use some album covers. I am REALLY not interested in going through my collection manually and adding art so I was wondering if there's anything that can automate this for me and if so, what would you guys recommend?

I've tried googling, but the only results I get are for Mac only programs or are 2-3 years outdated.

EDIT: BTW, I know about the built in option using the iTunes store, but a) for the most part, my music collection has remained relatively unscathed from using that and b) from what I'm seeing, it doesn't add the artwork into the ID3 tags, something which I'd like to be doing.

Hell, windows media player will do it for you.

I hope you can get it to work with embedded artwork in tags - I've never tried, and didn't notice that part of your comment previously.

WMP seems to lose its mind whenever I try and load even a portion of my music collection.
