I'm in love, before I even listened to it and saw that it opened up with "Play Your Part" I flipped shit. Aside from the fact that "Int'l Player's Anthem" was the best hip-hop track of last year, it's the Pimp C verse. So much respect.

Yeah this mix is the shit. Aphex Twin's "Girl/Boy Song" and then that "No Diggity" verse over the "Flashing Lights" beat and then "15 Step"

unfuckingbelievable.

not to mention it ends with the UGK song so you can seamlessly start it over and rock the house again & again.

PLAY YOUR PART!

I honestly think its one of the best openings to a CD ever. Not to mention I started listening to Bun B's Trill II a few weeks ago, just getting into UGK.

simply amazing, and a lot less jumpy than nightripper so you can enjoy some of the individual mashes for a lot longer. JayZ Radiohead is a full minute.
Can't, repeat, CAN NOT believe I missed Paranoid Android my first listen. I guess I was just stoked that it was Jay-Z... but upon review, the tempo is mad jacked with but now that I know, hot damn that's fucking dope.

My vote still goes to Aphex Twin "Girl/Boy Song" & "Throw Some D's on the Bitch". Just cuz I can see Richard D James smiling in approval in some dark bedroom somewhere.

Posting because I want -1.

"Hands In The Air" is fucking dope. Whoomp and Big Country for over a minute. $$. And it's 4:20.

This album is much crisper than his previous. Transitions are nigh seamless, both within the songs and between. Makes me wish I still ran music at parties.

This. Amazing.

Also the part with Nothing Compares 2 U (gettin gettin sum head) is amazing. The ending with Faithfully by Journey is epic. Love this album, I've listened to it 3 times in a row today now. I haven't caught the rickroll yet though. =/

Not bad but night ripper >

Track 1 3:41 is gangster.

BTW, does girl talk have to pay for all these samples? If so how does he recoup his losses with free CDs if not is there some kind of minimum clip length that can be used legally?

If its like Night ripper he didnt clear any of the samples. Think hes always said hell take it to court if it comes up, saying he created original work with it.

I remember when Night Ripper came out, the term "Fair Use" came up a lot, meaning that since no sample really outshines another, nobody can argue that "said sample" is the reason why he is now famous... like shining on somebody else's stuff. But since he's just using soo much, I think people just don't care.

Hell, there are lawsuits popping up all the time for rappers not clearing sample too.... Kanye's "Gone" comes to mind... but yeah, hell, Girl Talk is on the "Illegal Art" label, and I think they have their arguments all in order in case anybody comes after him.

But yeah, another up to the "Getten Some Head" sample... the original version from Dedication 2 is still one of my favorite Lil Wayne songs.

This reminds me a lot of some other band, I think they're called Plagiarism.

I'm struggling to find any word other than plagiarism that can describe this. What's the opposite of "creative" but also means "stealing"? That's what this is.

In almost all college courses that assign papers, if you turned in a paper with the same amount of copy-pasta as Girl Talk you would not only receive an F for the paper, you would be dropped from the course. Your professor would give you a stern talking to, and it would be made very clear that they do not tolerate cheaters in their class.
